Is it bad that I bought a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe today?

What does this have to do with a 2009-2012 F150?

As long as you still have a 150. No, its not bad. But I personally like to support Ford and keep my $ in the U.S.

I still have my F-150, just picked up the Santa Fe for the wife, tried and Escape, what a POS that was...Hyundai was definatly the best bang for the buck!

New Escape or 2012? New 2013 is suppose to be the bees knees.

^ exactly. The 2013 according to EVERY test is the small SUV to beat. The 2.0 EB is a runner. It even shames the Rav 4's V6. Isn't the SantaFe more cross shopped with the Edge anyway?

If yer wife's happy with it then the whole family is happy....gotta keep momma happy....

Good luck with it and enjoy!

Personally I would've looked at an Edge rather than an Escape....imo

We did look at an Edge, even had one for the night, I just think they are WAY over priced compared to the Hyundai...

0% financing, more options then the similar optioned Edge at $15,000 cheaper, 37mpg hwy, excellent safety review. Dont get me wrong I liked the Ford Edge too, just felt it was way over priced for what I was getting!

We replaced the wife's Eclipse last summer with a fully loaded 4x2 Hyundai Tucson Limited. We looked at several competing offerings. The 2012 Escape wasn't even a consideration - unless your into the 90's SUV look. We test drove an Edge, and while I liked it a lot more, it also cost 10k+ more comparably equipped. Plus it only gets 15 mpg to the Tucson's 22/31. The Edge is also a class size up - more comparable to the Santa Fe. We've had the Tucson a year now and really like it. It hauls our two dogs just fine.

I had a really hard time justifying 40k+ for an Edge. I really agree with Loaded_FX4 in that it's over priced for what you get. A comparable 40k F150 is MUCH more vehicle. I hope to replace my 2003 FX4 with a 2013 F150 in the not too distant future.

You hit the nail on the head! My dogs love it in the back of the Santa Fe, lots of room in there! Some people are just ignorant when dealing with Foreign vehicles, hell my dad even cut me up when he seen it in my driveway...
