Thanks Alex, not too happy about the smaller wheels but it will do for now. I would have preferred the 29" wheels but that will be my next upgrade soon as I break this one.

And you guessed it, every upgrade comes at a price.
I couldn't have said it any better.

That is one hell of a bike you purchased there, is it all Carbon fiber?

Thanks, the fork and handle bars will be carbon. The frame is brushed titanium, no worries about scratches or rust. I looked at CF frames and liked them till I found this one. For the same money, I could buy a CF bike with a fancy name made in China or one made in Tennessee made from titanium. I would rather give my money to the people that make Jack Daniels and live next door than someone across the world.

Lynskey........ the end all be all of the titanium world!

Sweet bike Joe. Still have a firm delivery date?

(almost as nice a find as a custom Serotta... hahaha)

Damn Leo, I can already see your next project at the house.... A bike room!

If you get frustrated over nothing to shoot for any longer, let me have the bikes, no worries for you, I'll cover shipping costs from the wrong coast.

Early November, that's an eternity.... well, at least two or three more weeks. It'll just seem like an eternity waiting for a new bike.

Please post pics when it arrives.

Actually my wife reminded me that I still have a battle to fight and that is my weight. I said, well get off my darn back!

But she is correct, I still have that battle to fight so you out of luck still need my weapons to shave down 30 more lbs.

This is when I first started remember?

@ 190 lbs.

Picture was taken this morning at 155 lbs.

Leo,

I really don't mind waiting for those bikes. As long as you are using them I'm fine.

Those before and after pics really tell the story. Hell, even your head is losing weight, look at how good the helmet fits now!

A lean, mean, riding machine for sure!

Nice you are keeping a bit of a photo journal of the progress. It reminds all of us where we can still go with some aerobics workouts.

I did 45 this morning in about 2 1/2 hours. You are moving a bit faster than I do on my usual rides.

I had my third, same knee, arthroscopic surgery on Jan. 3rd but the healing process did not got well. The first week in March I had my vitamin levels re-checked, it was then that my glucose level was 415. I was immediately put on meds to lower it. After 2 months following a strict diet and exercise I have managed my glucose levels to fluctuate between 90 an 127 and without meds.

A week a go, during my first visit with the diabetes specialist, the Doc. informed me that I must get back on the meds because My A1C level of 8 is way too high, 6 is acceptable. I said, Doc., at the moment my condition isn't life threatening that I "must" take said medication. So I would like to challenge myself to do it the natural and difficult way rather than the easy way out. If in 3 months my A1C level is not satisfactory then I will have no choice but to get back on the meds. The Doc. stood up, shock my hand and said, "challenge accepted, good luck, see you in 3 months."

I left and went straight to wall-mart and picked up the mountain bike seen on the pic. down below for 150 bucks. I'm now ridding the trials with my bicycle 10 miles a day; today was my 6th day. 2 months ago when I was diagnosed with diabetes type 2 I weight 215 lbs. This morning I weighted @ 191; I feel energizer and have returned to work doing what I love best, building and constructing things.

Any sweet guys out there, whatz the story behind your story?

Awesome story man and for sure with your determination you will win and succeed! I am glad I chose they natural way of good clean eating and exercise to help me lose almost 260 pounds and finally take my life back.

^^^ Thanks.

Just a lil update:

A couple of week ago, I met a fellow at one of the rest stops on the Santa Ana river bike trail while cycling 86 miles on a Sunday morning. We talked briefly about our Trek bikes as we admired each other’s. He asked how many miles I had done at that moment. 50 miles and 36 more to go I said. He seemed a bit impressed and asked if I were training for something. No, I responded and proceeded to tell my story of why I have been riding. He then said that I would be a good candidate to participate in an Iron man even. I said, yeah…....... uhmmm…… someday I will,…… at the moment don’t think I’m fit enough to do such an event.

To tell the truth, I didn't even know what he was talking about but I didn't want to appear as ignorant as I look. When I came home that afternoon, I Google iron man and after becoming well informed I looked at myself on the mirror and said to me, yo, me…… I’m looking at Iron Man, OG Terror December, 2014.

As soon as I accomplish my 2 goals, one, bring my weight down to 135 and two, rebuild and chisel my body with 10lbs of pure lean muscle, I’ll start my vigorous Iron man training.
How am I doing with my weight loss you may ask? Not as good as I would like, I keep fluctuating between 152lbs and 156lbs; I have yet to see my first 4, like 149lbs.

The truth to the matter is that after whooping diabetes’ butt out of the ring on the second round, I haven’t had anything to fight against. So yeah, I’ve been slacking off a lil. But now I’m back on track and looking forward to bringing the Iron man’s trophy home on December of 2014.

OG, I'm gonna borrow/steal/threadjack ya for a post or two.

Well, I picked it up today and proceeded to put a few miles on it. I have to say it rides as good as it looks and when they say it's fast they were not lying. Riding this thing is like being on a sportbike, you just gotta put the hammer down.

Beautiful bike Joe, enjoy it. Makes me want a new bike but I'll have to find new living quarters and a new mate first!

Damn Leo, the Ironman? I gotta admire you, nothing you do is halfway!

Talk about your over training light beginning to flicker...... Ironman training will definitely stress your body.

I had a good chance to open it up today and push it a little while trying to get back before it was dark. I can say the "Built to be fast" sticker on the frame is no joke. I knocked off a good 11+ mile stretch in under 35 minutes and the bike was wanting more than my legs could produce. I also hit 36MPH on one good downhill and it was rock solid. My old Giant would start to shimmy much over 30.

As I said before Joe, awesome looking bike, sounds like you enjoyed it the minute you got on it. Hope you have many happy rides and wins on it too.

On another not, have you tried sports leg supplement, awesome stuff to balance you lactic acid allowing you perform a lot better. Also race caps supreme is an awesome product.

For night riding it would be a good idea to invest in a NiteRider Lumina 650 Light, almost like HID headlights.

Thanks serotta but yeah, I prefer to do the most difficult things in life first cause the rest will be a breeze to accomplish. It allows me to set higher and high goals in life and thus preventing me from falling back to square one.

I'm getting ready to go from this vvvvv

To this by the end of next year vvvvvv

If my trek is still in good condition it'll all be your serotta
