Coke Experts...
The people that drink Coke are nuts ( sorry I would say no offense, but Coke loyalists are completely insane ).
What the heck was with the outrage over the white cans and why not buy it.
Change the color on the outside of the can, and you guys go ballistic and claim it tastes different.
You would think you are comparing a 1864 to 1870 Lafite Rothschild, and how the 1870 had more a citrus finish to it, where the 1864 had more of a Jam like finish to it which is shocking for a Lafite Rothschild in general, all for changing the color of a can of sugar water.

The old bottles of coke were the best. Mexico still uses sugar not corn syrup. Thats why the New Coke thing went down. They wanted to change to using corn syrup so they brought in new coke witch of course flopped but when they brought back the old coke they had changed it to corn syrup sweetened.. Metal containers add a metallic flavor its gotten much better they coat the cans now used to be caned coke really had a metal taste. The fountain drinks also add water from the tap so the local water quality factors in.
Dennys has the beast fountain coke i think..

I have been drinking Pepsi for years. I have about 60 large bottles right now. They last for months. I have also had kidney stones but had never connected Pepsi with them until reading GLC's post. I will have to cut down I guess. You learn something new every day.
BTW : took 2 times to figure out how to get Google to correct Lafite Rothschild for me, and then I just hit up a tasting review on some antique version of it. At $10K+ per bottle, it had better do more than just have a Jam like finish
I am just taking a SWAG based upon what your kidneys are to do with filtering, and it is hard to filter when you do not have a clean media to work with ( i.e. water instead of water already filled with stuff ).
Just a dumb question, I drink a lot of coffee per day, but I also drink at least 2.2L of water. In the summer I can go through 3+; 2.2L bottles of water ( those smaller scale of the 5 gal blue water cooler bottles that fit on the fridg' shelf real nice, with a easy grab handle ).
The Mrs jokes it is a race to see who drinks more water per day, me or 2 adult labs.
Coke does taste different depending on what it is in. Glass is the best but it is still not as good as it was back when they recycled the glass bottles.
I don't know what was different with those recycled bottles but it was soo much better.
I drink the occasional coke or dp now but being from the south I live on sweet tea!

soda is like whiskey (minus the alcohol) whatever container it is in, say i put my whiskey in a hickory barrel it will have a hickoryish taste, where if you put coke in an aluminum can, it will taste like aluminum, but if i put my whiskey in a cherrywood barrel it will have a cherryish taste. like if i put coke in a plastic bottle it will have a plasticky taste. i know i sound bad using whiskey as an example, but it's kinda like soda, to an extent that is!

the whole problem was idiots not reading the label and thinking it was diet, not different tasting. anybody claiming it tasted different was trying to make it look bad, or thought they were drinking diet...
Jack will not clean your battery terminals.....
