You should put a wire/mesh covering over that hole. It would look a lot better.

When you get a moment, might want to check the knot on the rope holding the winch on.

Looks a bit loose, and if you try pulling the truck out of the mud, it might come undone. Surgeons knot would hold it better. .

Today I proceeded to finish off the air vent:

I had to modify the bottom back of the box in order for it to fit behind the wheel well.

This is what the finish product will look like at the end:

What's the reason for the metal riveted to the edge of the fender? Also I would have probably put the intake hole somewhere that isn't going to be hit by water...

The riveted metal was to create an edge to give me a smooth curb so the fender flows with the bumper.

I added a downward curb and a drain at the end to avoid most of the water from traveling up and touching my air filter. Remember most of my muddying is only minor.

I agree with Midget - the possibility of water intake bothers me a lot. But, I may be worrying over nothing. Very nice work, Leo! You sure aren't afraid to "go where no one has gone before". I envy your creativity.

Edit: Your last post snuck in just before mine. Looks like you have everything covered.

Because I don't want to modify roush's "special" air filter box?
