what are you looking to sale?
smart rules towards craigslist:
1) under $50, throw it away (or list some where else like a forum)
2) if vehicle specific, use forums. will save you ALOT of hassle.
3) if you list it cheap, expect cheap offers. list it higher than what you want to sell it for, expect to get "talked down" to your bottom dollar QUICKLY.
i have given up selling anything on there, after selling a motor and few other things i feel it's not longer worth it. way too many cheap dumb asses on their.

agree on 1-3.
Ive bought and sold several things on Craigslist.
I have gotten a few scam emails but knew enough that they were BS.
I listed my car on CL a few days ago a bit higher than I want for it just to see what kind of offers I get before setting the price lower. So far the only email I got was somebody wanting to trade some stupid 2007 Husqvarna on/off road dirtbike thing for it. It cant possibly be worth the $5200 Ive got the car posted for.
