I was thinking to make my facebook status "Here I am, rock you like a hurricane.", but I thought the wife would get pissed with me being away saying that.

I'm planning to run through the streets flailing and screaming. I'm getting the feeling that 's what I'm supposed to do, based on the media coverage of this.

Seriously though, everyone be safe. We should be employing common sense every day, but especially when we are dealing with Mother Natures power.

That is what happens when the media over plays things. If you look at the actual wind speeds a category 1 hurricane is just a bit more powerful than the typical southern thunderstorm. A tropical storm is about as strong as a southern thunderstorm. Very little damage will result from the actual storm. There will be localized flooding and some damage from that, but not too much from the wind, unless a tornado is spawned.

Right. I had a day at home to relax yesterday and thought I'd catch up on the news, not. I'm sure I saw footage of every building on the East Coast receiving plywood protection.

Well update so far: 4 trees down just across my driveway, and about 30 more on the way to the entrance of my neighborhood. Looks like I'm not going anywhere for a while haha.

Haha mines sitting in the garage waiting for me to fire it up. Hopefully I'll be able to drag most with the tractor and help from neighbors cause lord knows the only people who are gonna clear the streets in our neighborhood is the people who live there. If we waited for the county to come out it'd be weeks ha, it takes them 3 weeks before they even come out there to plow roads when it snows.
