Finally 16!!!
Finally 16!!!
Todays my 16 birthday and its by far the best so far. Tuesday I go take my test to get my license and I'll finally get to drive my truck on my own! Its been such a long wait since I got the truck last year and I can't wait for Tuesday!
I think I've probably annoyed them with how much I tell them thank you lol. I have been very grateful and know that I'm lucky to have a nice truck at 16. And I also payed a nice chunk of it for a 15 yr old and have been working my tail off since I got it so I'm sort of repaying them with work.
Not bad. I remember my first time going solo- I felt like I was breaking the law since noone was in the seat next to me

Happy Bday, take care of that truck and it will take care of you... I never wanted a newer truck when i turned 16, i wanted a old beat up one. That away i learned things to do and not to do with it. Then a few years later got the newer truck and by that time i knew to take care of it.
Thats the same thing I've heard from everyone I've talked to at school. They all say that it feels weird and you focus alot more when alone. Hopefully I pass my test on Tuesday.
At first, yes- but then you start to get the cawky "I'm invincible" teenagedom time from 16-18 and you race your friends to 110, blasting the radio down dark country roads without seatbelts. I wasnt that stupid, but I did have my moments. I'm sure most kids are like that; until they get into their first wreck.
Yeah, I've seen alot of that in the people that go to my school. They all speed around with their radios up and do burnouts at every stop sign. I'm definantly not gonna do much of that at all because (1) I don't wanna mess up my truck (2) I don't want to pay for a ticket, and (3) My dad was a cop for 15 years, so I wouldn't hear the end of it if I got caught doing a burnout or got a ticket. I'm sure I'll have some moments where I'll do a burnout or something, but not often and not somewhere stupid like downtown.
I remember when I was in school, we were on our way to votech. A kid infront of me had an 89 F150 and we stopped at a stop sign and he did a brake stand. Smoke filled the air, you couldn't see anything. Then you heard the sirens
I forget how much his ticket was.
I forget how much his ticket was.

I felt the same way.
