Judging from your 1st pic, just having your 4x4 partially sitting on top of the bottom channel of the metal siding is asking for serious trouble.... it looks like there's only a 1" strip on the bottom of the 4x4 on the channel - the entire load of your roof (and snow) will be carried on that.

If you raise the front of the shed, what are you planning to fill-in above the metal siding on the front and sides?

I think someone already mentioned it but you may want to seriously look at punting and starting new from the ground up with conventional framing lumber - you can then easily sheath/paint the outside with T1-11 pressure treated panels.. (google images if you want to see what it looks like)

Get some shed plans off the web or buy a book at Lowes/Home Depot...... Just the money you'd save from all the spray-painting in your pics would be worth it!!

Thanks for the replies. I have today started on the roof for it. There is an issue as noted with the uprights but that is something that I will be fixing before adding the roof completely. I am not a big fan of starting again from scratch, not only do I not have the time to do it but I have precious little experience at such things. Also we have an issue with our yard getting flooded at least once a year, I have already installed a drain with a run off but it can't handle the quantity we get. The yard floods because of run off from two of our neighbours and the shed is at the far end of our yard so that makes the options more limited. To fill in the gaps I intend to use a mixture of panneling & some of the metal thats from the roof. Once its finished I am going to make sure its all well sealed.

Good luck with your venture.... as my dad always said (he was a finish carpenter for 35 years)... "if you don't have the time to do it right the first time, when are you going to find the time to fix it?"

But since you're not a big fan of starting over & doing it right, best of luck.... let us know how it works when it rains...
