You Might Be A Republican If…
That was the battle cry from early 2009 with Obama and the Dem lead congress and Senate.
The $787 billion stimulus bill that was pushed through without Republican input and rubber stamped by Obama was to stop the increase in the numbers.
Remember the line ( paraphrased ) unemployment will be 9% if we do this, and if we don't 10.5 %.
Considering you mark the Path to Prosperity as not being fair and balanced, one might assume you read it. Considering you are asking this question now, I can only assume you did not read it yourself.
1. Job creation by stopping the economic uncertainty
- This is in the plan ( that the Senate just killed without any option ) that is on the table. Stop the deficit spending, and the amount of money sent to China in Interest payment. Long term jobs are not going to be created by borrowing money from China, and paving roads, this is a temporary measure ( that actually gets people off unemployment, allows them to earn over 9K, and puts them back on unemployment for stint ( up to 99 weeks ).
1.1. Permanently Stop All Job-Killing Tax Hikes
1.2. Give Small Businesses a Tax Deduction
1.2.1. House Ways and Means committee is still trying to get this done, but sans Senate approval, it is going nowhere.
1.3. End Excessive federal regulation
1.4. Repeal Job-Killing Small Business Mandates ( H.R. 4 )
Let's see, what is the Senate doing, oh yes that's right trying to pass a Bill of Attainder for oil companies, rather then trying to make a budget to debate & Vote on.
Why bother now, it has only been 750 days without doing this part of their job. I wonder why the Senate races, for the most part, kept the incumbents, they are not producing any real work.
Where are the jobs, for the most part held up by the Dems in the Senate while they play a quick game of violate the constitution instead of doing budget work like they should have completed already.
Take a quick review of what the 112th congress has already done
H.R. 1 ( yes 1st act of the 112th congress on 19-FEB) - Continuing Appropriations Act for 2011, which allows for cuts to spending for the FY11 budget. Saved $ 100 B so far for FY2011. The media reports it as undoing of the FY11 budget approved by the 111th congress ( and rubber stamped by the Senate & Obama ).
H.R. 359 - terminates taxpayer financing of presidential election campaigns and party conventions.
H.R. 292 - End of printing of bills for voting in the House, it is all electronic now.
Conference Rules - House Republicans have banned all earmarks ( funds to be spent on specific projects without any public hearing or review) in bills.
Is this the only thing you think the House Republicans have not done ?
What has the Senate done to continue the 2008 campaign promises of job creation, aside from rubber stamp the 111th Congress' spending plans that have lead to more debit, and renewing of unemployment benefits for people that only worked for a few months.

sscully, we all know that. but it doesn't jive with the obama talking points, so blu3expy doesn't know anything about it. If the obama administration didn't tell him about it, its false or racist. remember that.
Considering he does not like the Budget plan that the House put together and passed, and will say a plan that is not released is fair and balanced unlike the house bill ( where everything got a hair cut ), I should not be shocked with the posts.
Sure all of those tax cuts sound great but that makes the gap even wider between money spent and money comming in, meaning deeper and deper cuts. I know what an ear-mark is, everyone does.
How about this, if Paul Ryan is such an economic genius, why doesn't he run for President?
The GOP field is weak. No one stands out, at all. The fact is, Obama is the President. If you do not like him, go do somthing about it.
It is also funny how everyone comments on this thread, what about the "You might be a Socialist if....." thread?

Considering option A has already been tried, and drove the country a trillion more in the hole, I guess Option B is the only thing left to try.
Given it is option B now, it should have been option A, get the economy moving so growth can happen, and tax revenues go up.
We know government spending ( our ) money did not do the trick.
I have made too many assumptions to date with you, like assuming you have read the budget recommendations yourself, considering the way to hammer on them.
Did you bother to read the Obama plan for Medicare, few billion dollars cut over 10 years.
He is in the Chairman of the House Budget Committee and on the Ways & Means Committee. The Ways & Means Committee is the principal tax writing body in the House.
- I figured I had to explain that, as you asked why he should go to a position that has less actual hands on ( or should, Obama seems to be keeping his hands in it for some reason, against the 1921 Act ) with taxes ( and budgets ).
I notice you won't comment on the failed attempts to spend ( tax dollars ) out of the issue we are in.
Myself, I was not going to validate the thread ( and the hate in some of the "top 10" list ) by posting in the thread.
- Then again, I thought I was allowed to make a decision on which thread I posted in. Didn't know to have a debate on this topic, I had to join another topic that is not related.
Good to know. I opened it expecting some kind of humor, not a hate letter.
Good to know I actually made a correct decision not posting in a thread that was so bad, it was deleted.

For everyone else, try to get on SSCULLY's wavelength. You don't have to agree with him. I certainly don't always agree, but unless you have something constructive and factual to add, it's best to sit on your hands.

I was going to suggest this. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
