You must enjoy paying higher taxes, having the government control your health care and soon more aspects of your life, want to see the USA go bankrupt, etc. etc.

Good luck with that....I guess you have already forgotten about $4+ a gallon gas, high food prices, high unemployment, the housing market/foreclosures, the exploding deficit, I could go on and on. But Bin Laden is dead so its all good

Is this because of Osama? You know that because of the government that the soldiers that raided and killed Osama might not have been paid the other month....

Funny because my teacher drives a prius and is a DEM.

You know, we all talk about 4 dollar gas, but compared to the rest of the world, we still pay much less per gallon.
Now for the rest of your statement.... crap we all did it so we're all to blame. I find it hard to pin it on Liberals or Conservatives exclusively. Although there are those on the board who believe only one of those factions did it.

^good point about the gas. Also, does anyone know one of the bigger factors in gas prices? Not foreign oil in itself, but the taxes put on the gas at the pump. Even with just state taxes taken off(in some states, taxes are different everywhere) we could be seeing 25 to 40 cent reductions in the price of a gallon of gas. Add in federal tax and it is even more...

Serotta, now you know that we never had an unemployed person when Bush was in office and heck they paid us to get gasoline. No one ever was foreclosed on...and he ran a surplus for the 8 years in office.

Please the RepubliCONS can't see beyond ideology and party to ever see the trees for the forest.

They want this country to be run exclusively by big business and corporations. Screw the little guy that is trying to make it.

Gas prices are so high because we allow speculators to drive the costs up. The same big banks Bush bailed out with TARP aren't loaning money to small businesses, they are investing on Wall St and driving our costs up.

Historically the debt has been squarely on the backs of RepubliCONS. Look at the real numbers and increases in the debt and 90% of it has accrued under the stewardship of RepubliCON presidents.

Obama could cure world hunger, give us a world of peace, cure cancer and every other plight of man and there are many that would still complain. I think a lot of it has to do with political party (they hounded Clinton pretty bad too) and I think (subconsciously or not) the fact he is black (half) they hate him too.

I wish there was a better alternative to Obama as I don't think he is the greatest thing ever; however, void of a better choice, I would have to vote for Obama. Hopefully we can flush some of these RepubliCONS out of congress as well as they only want to disrupt things and are not seeking answers to our problems.

Most of the world paying $4 or more do not have production and refining capabilities. Just because they pay it, does not mean we need to.

Even if you knocked all of the taxes off of gas it would still be high.

Is there some theory out there that we don't need taxes or government doesn't need funding? Seriously...who is going to pay for the roads, fire departments, police, etc.

These roles aren't done by volunteers.

We have the lowest Federal taxes in the last 50 years but people cannot get past that. If you think your local taxes are too high, take it up with them.

Not saying we don't need taxes K-Mac. Don't take what people say and turn it around. I personally think one big reason we are in a deficit is because not everyone pays their taxes like they should, and many reap the rewards of others paying taxes. You have made a very good point to those who think that taxes are all evil, but to me you are fighting over something I already agree with or at least see the point in. Now, gas prices are crazy, just I didn't want people to think that foreign oil is the only reason they are high.

obama will be president again for sure if republicans destroy themselves, thats the truth. its hard to say right now who will be where but I dont think this election will be nearly the magnitude of 2010, infact it will probably go back to all democrat if republicans do stupid stuff. haily barbour was the only smart republican so far when it came to keeping their mouth shut when the president does somthing. ron paul MAYBE

Wrong kiddo. Income taxes in 2011 are higher than 2010 because of Obama's unconstitutional/socialist health care bill. I see it in my retirement checks and paychecks. When Bush was in office taxes were lower than when Clinton was in office. So your statement is totally false and unsupported. But keep talking like a good little socialist.
