Wow,
That is 37,8 degrees celsius.
We got 30 degrees celsius last thursday.
That was no fun,now imagine 8 degrees more.
Never seen temperatures higher than 33 celsius here (91 F)
So how do you guys sleep at night with this heat.
Airco on or something?
I guess you all have airco in the house,or not?
I have a mobile airco but using it only a few days a year.

F150Europe;
In this area (and we are NOT the hottest part of the country) we crank up the home, central airconditioning from mid-June through the end of August. Of course, the electric/ utility bills reflect the amount of cool air in the house. If we (Americans) paid what most Europeans do for electricity/ (natural) gas, I suspect we would learn to put up with the heat and build smaller homes which take advantage of natural breezes, trees, and sun angles.
If you ever visit Memphis, come in April-May (Memphis in May Music Festival) or September-October .... it's our best weather of the year. NorthWest Airlines/ KLM have a daily, non-stop, Amsterdam to Memphis flight (MD-11 ??) - - can't beat it for the convenience.

Wife told me it was 108 in Las Vegas the other day. A couple left their child in a car, what a shame.
Told it hit 122 degrees here in Saudi Arabia also. "Dry heat" people like to say in Vegas. I don't care, over a 100 it's all HOT!

I loved Memphis! Wish I could be there right now for some Corkys dry rub ribs.
. Whew,that's pretty HOT,everyone else has been getting our weather this year. We're only at 95 for now,close to 80 at night. It's a wet heat
Hope it cools down for y'all,,,,,,98

Hey FedEx, Spent some time at the Navy Air Base down the road in Millington about 25 years ago. Is it still there? We use to come in to Memphis and drink at Yosemite Sam's down on (I think) Grandby St. I was there from the beginning of January to mid-April so I missed a winter. Nice place.

Four Hour; NAS Millington is now Naval Air Facility "Mid-South". The Navy gave up the airfield but kept the rest. It's home to BUPERS (Bureau of Naval Personnel - - the ultimate bureaucracy!!). More people there than ever.I thought I had visited most of the watering holes in the area - - but I missed Yosemite Sam's - - looked it up in the yellow pages - - it's on Madison - - I'm off for a few days mid-week and will give it a shot. I'll give you a 25 year update !!!
