I have a bugshield, and I like it awful well, but if it ain't what you want, don't go for it. I don't have an answer for your question, but I can tell you to definitely not get a LundVisor and a bugshield, the bugshield throws them up and the visors shoves them back down, and every bug around will end up on your windshield. RainX has definitely helped me in keeping them off, though, they tend to slide off instead of splatting as much now, maybe that's an idea.

I have not tried them though the concept sounds good and probably would have given it a shot if I had heard of them before I got the Lund.

This is a little off topic, but....
How do you like your Garmin GPS ? Who did you purchase from and (if you don't mind) the cost? Is the voice module (verbal directions) worth the price? Sorry for the deluge of questions ... you're the first I have seen with the unit. Thanks ...

You can always have it painted to match your truck. They don't seem as noticable like that. I am considering one also, and if I do, thats the way I would do it.

Get one painted to match your truck. When my dealer put mine on, they came driving towards me and I couldn't even tell that they had put it on yet. It blended in until they got right up to me.
I love not having bugs and water spray on my windshield now.

Sorry for the long delay in replying to your request, I had a family emergrncy in Mi.
Anyway, onto your questions:
1. Garmin makes the best GPS for the money. There are others but they want more $ for the same features or less $ for not enough features.
2a. Best Buy in Dayton, OH.
2b. $999.00 plus tax. You could probabily get a better deal on-line.
3. The voice module wasn't the reason foir the StreetPilot III. I liked the large color screen and the routing capability. Also the voice module is only good from the cigarette adapter (part of the cord) so it wouldn't work if you directly wired it to a power source. In my opion the StreetPilot III is a great unit for what it was inteded to do, guide you on streets, if you want to go off-road the GPS12, GPSIII+ or the E-Trex would be better units. In fact I am planning on getting one of the E-Trex units for hunting before Deer Season this fall.

I have a Lund Interceptor. I like the shape of it better than the others. It isn't as bulky and fits the shape of the hood better. They come tinted, but they can be painted also. I left mine the tinted/smoke color. I paid about $55 for it I think.
