Photography
I shoot two cameras:
Primary is a D300
D40 is my back-up body
Lenses:
All Nikon - 12-24, 18-55 (tends to live on the D40), 18-200, 50 f/1.8. Looking into getting a Micro Nikkor. The 18-200 is a great travel lense, but seriously lacks as a portrait.
Flash is an SB-600.

nice, and they're all ford! haha
i shoot with canon, i've been reading around & a good starting point seems to be a lens like this:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...4_0_EX_DG.html
basic, cost effective, will still produce desirable images for what i'll be using it for.
i'd love to have a wide angle & a fisheye that'd be awesome!

I learned many years ago, for the sharpest and best IQ images, along with the fastest most accurate AF, I only buy pro Nikon glass, no aftermarket stuff.
I have a friend that shoots Canon professionally, and he has found the same thing with Canon glass.
