Nice Sammi, I drove one for 4 years and that thing went some places stock that most of the bigger trucks couldn't because it was so small and lite. I used to drive mine around most obstacles that would get bigger trucks stuck and I think you will be suprised how capable it will be with just 37's and gears.

oh i know thats the great thing is they're so light. i think i'll really be surprised once the first stage is finished. then add lockers front and rear and it'll be great for the mud.

Lol I think the ramps to get in the bed of the truck might be too steep for the samurai.

heres my buddies samurai.. think it has like 12 inches of lift??? not sure how much suspension/body but think a good bit of body.. I know he has everything changed up on it, and as far as stats I can't tell you, but everything basically custom done by him. Think only thing I really remember is something along lines of chevy axle on it.. Either way, it has 31s on it in this photo and he plans to put 44s (he has them just not on yet)... He is still mid process of building it and doesn't care about what it looks like, but what it can do

Hope this may help give you an idea of size on what you may go on

Watson: those are some really nice rigs this one will be in a different style though being a mud truck. im going to build it with this motor now but if it doesn't have enough power to spin them in the mud with gearing then i'll probably swap a sidekick engine or small diesel in it.

thanks for the picture, you can't find many really big samurais online. that's actually about the size mine will be. it looks like hes got a basic spring over lift, around a 5 inch body lift, big shackles, and stock leafs. haha does he know that they will float on water with 44's?

i've never liked custom made huge body lifts so i'll just stick with a 3 inch if i do one, but i will be doing a basic spring over axle lift, make some shackles, and put some lift leaf springs on it. after all of that that's as high as it will go suspension wise so i'll work out the drive shafts and steering. then if i need more clearance i'll throw on a 3 inch body lift.

no prob at all! I think it is a bit high myself but he is using it for absolutely everything.

I didn't know they would float but that would be rather neat! hah. This thing actually weighs close to my truck. Big pain in the *** to push here and there. I am not a huge fan on custom lifts etc but this one doesn't look too horrible, plus for the purpose it works I suppose. I know he has a dual transfer case in it along with whatever else he has done so far. I just cant wait to see it finished, I want to go play around in it. I can't wait to see yours done as well. I actually have never seen one that hasn't been all done up. Seen many at the dunes that were beauties, but never seen one bone stock. Blows my mind how small they are.

Cool find.
Here's my Tracker that I bought a few months ago. I haven't been able to wheel it yet because the weather changed and it doesn't have a title. These are nice little vehicles. I always use to think they looked really funny but I've seen so many on the trails that they must be good for wheeling.

ha he must have added some weight because a stock one only weighs right at 2000lbs. yeah it doesn't look too bad for having a huge body lift. i can't wait to get it done either. haha yeah they're tiny.

hah, oh yea.. So much is welded onto this thing. You going to make your sam sam bigger than your truck? Be awesome seeing your truck pulling something even larger than it!

haha yeah it would be. but this sami will get put on around 33's or 35's first then the biggest it will get will be 39.5 inch boggers. but that will be after awhile. it'll look huge on the trailer behind my truck though.
