Copenhagen ...
I bought a mess of herbal snuff about 6 months ago and put it in the fridge for "quitting day." Its all still in the fridge. :-(
Good luck, man! Pass me some will power after you get through the tough part, will ya? lol

i got some of that mint snuff that helps you quit. it was like $4 a can and actually worked..but it still looked like you were "dipping snuff" so people turned their nose up at you...but the store stopped carrying it and the closest store is 60 miles away..so i started again
my grandpa and my dad got hypnotized out of dipping and they havent thought about a dip since then, my uncle had acupuncture to stop smoking..he had a pack of cigs in his pocket with him for a month and to this day still hasnt smoked one

Don't cheat-it takes you ALL THE WAY BACK TO SQUARE ONE! Kinda like when you were a kid playing shoots and ladders.
Plus it makes it even harder to get back to day 7, I'm pulling for you man-hang in there!

I quit smoking cigs about 19 years ago cold turkey after smoking steady for about 6 years before that, but there isn't a day that goes by when I smell someones second hand smoke that I don't think about lighting up again...
Then I smell a smoker that's come in from smoking a cig and they just plain reek and I tell myself that's how I used to smell after I had a smoke... I also quit because I was paying $25 for a carton of smokes and it was a huge financial drain on me.. I see them at over $60 a carton now, and there is no way in heck I'd be able to afford that today, even thou I make 4 times what I did back then... I smoked a pack and a half a day at my peak..
I know you are fighting the dip, and I too did that for a little while way back when, but I only did that in HS almost 30 years ago and when my gums got all raw, I stopped..
But, nicotine is nicotine and how it gets in your body is your choice, but once it's in there... It takes it's hold...
All I can offer is the support of someone close to you to help you along is a great help.. Even when you do have a 1 second fuse!
Best of luck to ya and I know if you want this, you will make it happen!

Darn good support here.
Day 8.
Not too shabby. I'm not "feeling" the urge to dip at all today....so far. I'm sticking to my seeds and gum. I'm keeping busy doing stuff around the house and keeping snuff off my mind is helping. I was pretty tempted last night. I kept saying, "hey, my cut off date is the forth. One dip won't hurt." But I decided not to. I still have my last can, but its a little dried out.
Thanks for everyone's support, I need it, cause this is tuff man.

Congrats on the 8 days. Here is an option I though of if you are still having some serious urges. Put a picture of people with Mouth Cancer next to that last can. If seeing that picture still makes you want a dip, then maybe put a picture of your wife, kids, whatever next to those pictures as well. Im sure the loved ones would not want to see you like that. Its a bit extreme but it might help.
But again, Good Job and stick with it.

Now, thats motivating.
I'll say that must be horrible!
