NASCAR is slowing down Daytona speeds
That one's probably back at the shop being fixed as we speak, to be the backup to the backup. Not enough resources at the track to fix that car. They probably had a new backup car stored somewhere close by or had a new one brought in early Sunday.

Earnhardt's primary car is a chassis Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jeff Gordon raced to an eighth-place finish at Talladega last October. The car Earnhardt wrecked in the Budweiser Shootout was being painted Wednesday at the Hendrick complex in Charlotte, N.C., prior to being returned to Daytona to serve as the new backup.
That they would rather go with the bud shoot out car then start from square one with a backup car.....
Dang Jimmy took his lucky U back.....
Only 7 of his 18 career wins have been at Daytona and Talladega....
Oh crap, this is all starting to make sense now! Jr gets the pole through a fix that allowed his qualifying car to circumvent the rules. He gets the accolades for sitting on the pole of the race where Sn. died.
Now NASCAR doesn't want a scandal so they purposely get Truex to take out Jr. in the practice session thereby guaranteeing the car wouldn't go through another tech inspection.

Bout Sums it up....
I say let them run WFO!!!!!!! I know you have the chance of the cars flying up into the stands but let them run what you brung... I was watching the shoot-out and the 2 car draft was working well... When they slow the cars down the race gets boring.. I know it all in safety but I would love to see them hitting 210-215mph..
