NASCAR is slowing down Daytona speeds

Yeah they are pretty concerned about the cars getting airborne if they get turned around. They are just trying to avoid a car going into the stands like what happened at Dega.

I can't wait for the race, I am interested to see how this 2 car racing is for 500 miles. Took Thursday off from work to watch the duels too.

I think it should be interesting... What part of me thinks is more "real" racing. They need more air on the front, so maybe more single racing?

Glad I'm not the only one who does crap like that

Back in the day I used to have to work alternate Sundays...I always took off for the Daytona 500.

They just decreased the size of the restrictor plate this morning too. At least they did it before practice so the drivers can get a chance to run it before the big show.

I knew that was coming......oh jeez just let them race.....

Surprised they haven't made them change the gear ratios yet too!

I figured that was coming, pretty typical. I've been going to Talladega twice a year now for 10+ years and I can't tell you how many times they change plate size the morning of the race.
