Having driven many chargers.. I would recommend buying one if you want a fast car with good seating. They dont ride too rough, but the r/t is fast as hell. You wont be getting great gas mileage with the r/t.. maybe 18-20 if you go mostly highway.

I would definitely go test drive one and put your foot into it. They are suprising.. trust me.

As for car seat fitment in a mustang, it can be done. I have had too put our little girl in my mustang a couple times and it actually wasn't too bad. Your forced too put it behind the driver or passengers seat so if your wife doesn't need a whole lot of leg room like mine then its not bad at all.

On the nissan maxima side of things.. I work at nissan. Maxima's are just about the nicest thing that nissan has to offer IMO. They feel the least "cheap" made. The leather seats are comfortable, but pretty firm. Lots of room.. I have ridden in the back of one for a good while and it was plenty of room for my 6'2 frame. It does feel like you are driving a big space ship or a boat of some kind though. Now, they have CVT transmissions so they are not very fast. They do optimize the hp/tq curve though, but at pretty high RPMs. If you get into it they sit at about 4800-5000 rpms till you let off or it hits the speed limiter. OH and in case you are wondering.. CVT transmissions have no definitive max speed in reverse in case you decide to have fun with one .

Personally, if I were in your shoes. I would look into a charger r/t or a GS 430. GS 430s are pretty $$$, but they are very quick and extremely comfortable. Not to mention they look pretty sweet too.

The new Chargers look pretty sexy. Have you ever looked at a Mazda 6?

Hate to say it but with gas prices the way they are going, I think I'm going to have to go with a new Focus when they come out in a few weeks.

They are supposed to get 28 city 40 highway.

Sucks, but I guess we really need a gas sipper right now.

If anyone gets in one or has a review on them let me know. No dealers around here have them yet.

2010+ Fusion 4cyl if you want incredible mileage. my 6'3" dad fits fine for 4+ hour road trips, since they bought one without a sunroof

and this was from last fall, they now have over 30k on it
