No Matter What I Just Can't Stop Doing It
That is called OCD! I do that with my welder at work. Always has to be in 5 increments for some odd reason.
Every. Single. Time.
I always get this weird look from passengers when I'm driving the explorer cause I wait for a minute before I start the truck, I don't even know I'm doing it.
EDIT: i dont want for the "light" to go off, i just wait about 10 seconds then start it
i have the same prob with remote start. ill do it once in a while but most of the time ill remember.
my fan switch sometimes ill forget about.
ive forgot about my fog lights before my batt was dead in no time.

I got to drive our new F-550 firetruck tonight and I couldnt find it so I just let it sit for 15 seconds anyway.
If I'm in a hurry I'll forget to turn the radio down when I switch the truck off. By the time I get to work/school I usually have the radio on a bit loud. I end up scaring the crap outta myself when I get back in the truck and turn the key over. You'd think as many times as I've scared myself I'd remember to turn the volume down before I turn the key off.

What is something that you just can't stop doing no matter how many times you seem to remind yourself. My issue is when I remotely start the truck I always get in, put my foot on the brake to put it in gear and it cuts off. I always say to myself that next time I will not forget to put the key in first but I end up doing the same thing over again

Just requires discipline I guess. I tried hiding the reloads. Yea, that was unsuccessful, but it counts as a "try", - I'm making progress...
I got so used to sticking my key in the door that everytime I walk up to a car/truck door I want to stick the key in to unlock it. Now I have the fancy little pagers and I can unlock my truck or excursion from far way and for some reason I still find myself wanting to use the key sometimes.
Blue- I found a pen with a blue string attached about a month ago. Have you checked lately to see if yours is there?
Maybe need to go the Redneck way to "check to see if pen and STRING are still there".

My problem is, I can't remember to lock my truck. I'm a little like D's984x4, except I remember quite a bit later, when I'm "out of range", so I have to walk back to do it. This is the first vehicle I've owned with remote lock/unlock capability, so I'm just not "attuned" to it. If pushing the driver's door lock down would lock all the doors like my "daily driver", I'd be golden, but it doesn't.
There are days I wish it would automatically lock like some other car makes I've heard about, but I don't think there's any way to make it do that.
There's something to not being able to teach an old dog new tricks, and I'm a "really old dog".

Be'ins you have that fancy KR, maybe it can be programed to do that. I'm sure it could be wired to do that with just a little "head scratchin'"The last 2 cars we've had both had it.
