Sprint, DOES, in fact charge $10/month more for data plans for 4G-enabled phones, REGARDLESS of whether or not the user is in a 4G-capable area. Cut and dry, really.
Verizon's unlimited plan has a 5gb cap.

While they don't come out and say hey if you use to much data we will cut you off or bill you, they do say that if you use it for things your not supposed to they will. Except they are not allowed to view what you are actually doing with it, so they just go off of how much data you use. If you go over the 5gb limit they will charge you for it or cut you off.

Sprint does charge $10 for data plans for 4g phones, however it is not for access to the 4g network, it is because these phones use an extraordinary amount of data and this $10 charge gives you truly unlimited on 3g and 4g connections.

Call what you will, I really don't give a damn. I steam tv and movies constantly, and all my music downloading is on my phone. I probably downloaded 2 gig's worth of music last month alone.

So I looked at an HTC Droid Incredible today, is it worth getting? Is it worth going to Verizon for? Here's the deal, I have unlimited home phone, and my ol' lady and I are paying for 2 phones with unlimited data through Sprint right now, and if we go down to 1 regular phone and 1 smartphone, it's the same price. I don't like the lack of flexibility on my plans.
My problem is, my woman doesn't use data, but I used 9g last month. It would be cheaper with Verizon, but not if they charge me BS, and I don't know if I will like the HTC compared to the BB.

If your going to go to one smart phone then why not just change to sprints 79.99 unlimited everything plan which is the cheapest on the market and have your one smart phone and home line. Or you could do to individual plans, 1 unlimited everything for you, and the second one do the 39.99 450 minute talk plan with unlimited mobile to mobile nights and weekends start at 7.

So far, if I go through Sprint, it will cost about 20 bucks more than Verizon does, that's the motivation to move over to Verizon. I have home phone either way, and I want a smartphone, but she wants a stupid phone.

Verizon:

450 Minutes, Unlimited text, unlimited data: 89.99
- Nights at 9PM
- Can only specify 5 friends for unlimited calling
- Apparently a 5GB cap on data
- Roaming included? IDK

Sprint:

450 Minutes, Unlimited text, unlimited data: 79.99 (4G phone), 69.99 (3G phone)
- Nights start at 7
- Can call any cell phone on any network without using minutes
- No data cap
- Unlimited roaming

The only thing that is a benefit from VZW that you can't do with sprint is drop the texting if you want.

Sprint forces unlimited data and text, where VZW has tiered texting options, which is an easy way to get VZW to around 59.99 or 69.99

She wants to drop data altogether on her phone, texting yeah but no data option, not even a smartphone.
I can do one smartphone and one stupid for 135 on Sprint, and I can do the same thing for about 110 on VZW.
Should I just drop to 1 smartphone and nothing else?

that is up you. sprint and verizon's footprint is generally identical. sprint roams on verizon, and vice versa, so you're not going to have any different coverage.

To do a smartphone and a 'feature phone' (one of those semi-dumb phones that are used for texting) would pretty much be 69.99 for the smart phone and 49.99 for the dumb phone, equaling $110 bucks. I'm not sure where you're looking, but 135 looks like its the everything family data, which you wouldn't need.

That would be 450 minutes per phone, unlimited texting on both, and data on the smart phone.

I am in the everything family data, they told me at 2 different locations so far that I can't downgrade until I get a whole new contract for each phone separately, if I could, I would, and I'd probably stay with Sprint, I've been very happy with their service, just the lack of flexibility because they won't let me downgrade.

if you can't downgrade, that means if you decided to switch to VZW, you're going to get charged an ETF, which with sprint is per phone. Here is how those are broken down too: http://shop.sprint.com/en/services/t...CID=vanity:etf
