I'm surprised no one has started a thread about all the recent fish kills and birds dropping from the sky. First Arkansas, 3000 black birds drop from the sky, thousands of fish die a few miles down the road, apparently all due to fireworks on New Years eve? Really? Then in my own back yard, tens of thousands of fish wash up on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. Our local DNR says it was due to the "stress of the cold water" and that these fish usually migrate south. Well, what prevented them from migrating south in the first place? A magnetic storm of sorts? Something smells fishy here, oh wait, that's just my back yard.

Oh and this just in, another large bird kill just reported in Louisiana? Sorry I'm not inserting all the links, but check the news or google. Anyway, just curious to see what everyone's take is on this. Slow day for me....

I know this will derail into a religious thread, which I hope it doesn't, at least not right away. I'm more thinking scientifically here. I mean seriously, what is killing all these birds and fish?

 

They said all the birds died due to "blunt trauma", maybe they just partied too hard and flew into some windows.

 

I blame Obama. And if it wasn't him, it's BP's fault.

Seriously, it's mother nature. Strange stuff happens all the time.

That being said, the bird kill might have been a huge flock being right near a big blast. However, I've seen hundreds of fireworks shows in my life and never saw a bird dropped by one.

 

Yeah, I agree it's mother nature. I just wish there was a better explanation other than this being caused by fireworks. I don't think fireworks caused the massive bird kill that just happened today in Louisiana. I live in the redneck capital of Maryland (Pasadena). They shoot off fireworks at baptisms here, and yea, I also have never seen birds drop cause of fireworks and we have a bunch of both here (fireworks and birds).

And what about those fish kills?

 

I would really like to know who makes this crap up!!!!

Any of you guys watch the show on ABC called Flashforward? They had an episode about a bunch of dead birds falling out of the sky due to some scientific experimenting.
