WTF?
In 2 1/2 years on working on anything from base model work trucks, to this and LTZ's and King ranch's and even a even Large trucks (heavy equipment repair) I have NEVER damaged a seat.
This is the second most costly thing I have ever touched, the first was a cadillac escalade (about 68K) fully loaded out.

The worse I have ever done was break a tab on a dash. I promptly called the dealer and ordered a new trim piece and told the customer I would replace it.

Trim tool? not sharp.
Flash light? not sharp.

drill with the screw driver bit? ill give you that. Its STILL not sharp, and unless I on purpose tried to put a hole in the seat its not going to happen.

whats your deal man?
Thats bull ****.
I don't tell you how to do your job, and I don't expect you to tell me how to do mine.
For what services I offer here, you have maybe two other choices, one about 2 hours away, or the place down the road that half asses installs.

Are you trolling.

I am sorry but I agree with Kobi on this one. I catch anyone putting anything resembling a tool on my seats they are going to have a get one of my boots removed from there back side. My truck may only be an XLT but all be damned if someone is going to leave tools on my seats.

Well I guess.

If you don't like it, sorry.
I have never had a problem or complaint.
From the workers just driving the truck, to the people who own coal mines and gas company's.

Its not like I am getting them dirty, or damaging the seats.
Even if I did, I have insurance, and will happily replace it with a brand new seat from the dealer.

I have to agree with Kobi as well. My dealer even puts in paper floor mats and a seat cover to drive to the bay. Even oil off the tools can stain the seats.

I don't care if you were installing gold-plated trim pieces, if anyone left a tool such as a drill or anything on my seats I'd be really pissed

This thread is full of fail. For starters... it isn't an 08. 08s had fender vents. That truck is an 05-07. And for a less than 5 year old truck that "isn't driven a lot", 60K miles isn't low. And I'd smack somebody if they put a sharp tool (like the trim tool) on my leather. And what the hell do you even need a trim tool for in these trucks? The dash pops right off, and there's no poppers in the door panels. And Kobi is probably one of the smartest dudes on this site.

Was there 1000 made for the states?, Canada must have more Because here in northern alberta I have seen quite of those, 2 in the used section of the two dealerships in town just recently, and a a few More on the roads. Definatly a sweet truck, but I didn't think they were that rare.

My tools don't have oil on them.
I do mostly electrical work.

Why?
Its not getting the seat dirty.
Its not causing harm to the seat.

I thought I was picky about my truck, but my tools are clean and have no oil, dirt or grease on them.
When they do get dirty I clean them.

I could understand if they got dirty and had dirt and grim on them, and transfered to the seats.
But they do not.
I could see if they where damaging the seat. But they don't.

Help me understand this.

In over two years of risking I have yet to damage a seat.

I was wrong, its a 06 or 07.
Oops.

Well, you are entitled to you're opinions, that doesn't mean I am right or wrong.
I have had no issues or complaints.
If I have offended you, well I am sorry.
This is the way I work, I have never damaged or gotten a seat dirty.
I have never torn, punctured or dirtied a seat.
The only time I have ever had to use the company insurance was on a dodge, I broke a clip and had to get it replaced.
I was honest about it, and got the man a replacement trim piece.

If any of my tools where actually sharp enough to damage the seat, I would not have them around the seat.
I used the trim tool to remove the side piece of the dash, where the microphone and Xm radio wires where run, and to got a few stubborn clips loose from the dash trim.

Okay class, listen up. This is what we call a Fallacy. The one the OP is talking about is known as hasty generalization.
