Obummer needs to go

I truly can't believe where two years have lead us. Obummer came in with the notion of Hope and Change and all he is leaving us with is change (a couple pennies and a nickle)!

I know all of the Repugninuts probably think that extending huge tax breaks to the millionaires and billionaires is a wonderful thing but they can't find a few crumbs to shell out to seniors? Can't fund the health care costs of the rescue workers of Ground Zero? It's hallowed land for the dead but the ones that tried to save the living...screw them?

He has the audacity to take it up the bung hole from the Repugninuts in a "compromise" and then goes to his supporters and says "take it or leave it?"

Is there any way we can strap Obummer to a chair and make him watch this until he suddenly "understands"? I'm not sure he would get it then anyway!

I now believe it is best to allow the Repugninuts to drive this country into ruin - let them see what living in Somalia is like. Of course, most of them will immigrate to some tax-haven, just as their corporations have.

I can understand Bush doing what he did...I will give him a pass as having bad advisers and he wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. I don't think he was malicious or anything...just walking the line.

Obummer came out saying one thing and does an about face. He was too busy trying to be bipartisan and working with the Repugninuts instead of using the majorities he had to get things done.

People elected Obummer and a Democratic Congress on the notion that they were going to institute a single payer system and not the load of manure Obummer got for us. Yeah he had to ram it down everyone's throats at the last minute because he spent too much time letting the Repugninuts drag it through the mud with lies like "Death Panels" and crap like that. After all the crap was spread, people had no idea (and still don't) what's in that bill but it is certainly not what people wanted. Sure they're pissed about it!

The Repugninuts weren't going to do anything he wanted anyway because they were pissed they lost power. The Repugninuts only care about power and authority...they could care less about the country. We heard Rush Bimbaugh yelping about the country being hostage by Clinton and of course the language about Obummer has made that look nice.

Why would the Repugninuts ever speak bad of this guy, he is one of them! Obummer makes Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan look like bleeding heart liberals!

How does passing 900 BILLION in tax cuts (more than the stimulus package) help lower the deficit? When you are maxed out on your VISA you have to cut spending and make bigger payments. You don't keep taking big cash advances from the card to lower the bill.

The idea of keeping taxes at the current rate for those making $250k a year or less is fine. I think $250k is rather high on the middle class food chain, but you have to draw the line in the sand somewhere.

The idea that slashing taxes will suddenly make companies invest in new workers is asinine. Companies will hire people if it is profitable in any tax situation. The old saying in sales is "Never leave money on the table!"

Either way, this country has been sold out to rich corporate cronies and screw the middle class (actually destroy the middle class is more like it) and screw the poor.

No I agree that poor people don't hire people, but their collective spending creates jobs. Even the family making $75-100k a year will likely spend most of their income. Saving money is great but one has to reach a certain income to make it possible. I doubt many Wal-Mart clerks with families have the means to save much.

I certainly don't want to give hand outs to people. If they are able bodied, then they should get their butts to work...no question. If they don't want to work then their 18 kids should be taken away and they lazy bums can starve.

That said, we are better creating legislation that will lead to the creation of good jobs (40-50K a year) than a bunch of $8.00/hr jobs. Giving millionaires and billionaires an extra $100,000 is just going to pad their stock portfolio. Getting tax incentives to small business owners and investing in education will lead to a better society for us all.

I have no problem with people becoming rich. I certainly don't want to raid their bank accounts and strip them of their assets for a big redistribution. That said, stripping every safety net there is for the middle class and poor in the name of padding the wealthy people's portfolio is a poor means of stewardship too.

I can't think of many successful societies that had massive poverty for 98% of the people and a small percentage of super wealthy people. Lovely countries like Somalia and Haiti are certainly good models for us to follow!

Either way, hopefully Obummer can be shipped out of the White House and someone competent can take over. I seriously doubt if he was to run today, he would get the Democratic nomination for dog catcher. He is already a lame duck and his selling out to the Repugninuts sealed his fate!

How dare you, ya socialist swine?
Maybe if you work harder and become one of those billionaires, you could enjoy the tax break and then send your money to a scret account in Latvia.

Don't be a h8r.

LOL! Yeah you can't trust the Swiss anymore as a safe haven.

There is nothing wrong with making money and becoming wealthy. God bless them but there is a point that it goes from being successful and becomes a sickness. Remember Gordon Gekko (think I spelled it right).

Does the name George Sorros mean anything?

Show fiscal responsibility with my money and I have no problem raising tax rates. With that said, raising taxes during a recession is not only foolish it is very stupid and will result in an economic slow down, just like it always has. Congress has not and probably never will show any type of fiscal responsibility. Hell they told the federal workers they can't afford to give them a raise this year, but they increased federal expenditures on frivolous things by more than they are saving not giving the pay raise. They can't have it both ways.

The rest of the stuff you posted is so far off I don't have the time to argue with you. I guess, once again, you can call a conservative the party of no. That is all you will get from me. No, you are wrong.

More filth you have been fed by the collectivist news channels.

Who in the world told you that there will be $900 billion in tax cuts and that it will make the deficit go up?

Keep in mind that the people have their money right now and this extension of the bush era tax rate levels just allows them to keep more of their personal income for 2 more years. You sound as if it is the governments money and that they are somehow 'giving it to them'.

They freaking earned it and it is theirs! You are not entitled to that money in any way K-Mac. Quit accusing republicans of wanting power and authority when you are here cheering on taking more money from tax payers.

Why are you always engaging in class warfare? You don't see us ever wanting to take money from the poor and middle class? I and other libertarians/conservatives have absolutely nothing bad to say about the middle and lower class. Not you on the other hand...

If the tax rates do go back up, we will have some of the highest corporate tax rates in the world. Do you think that will drive business to the U.S. or away from the U.S?

Quit it with these stupid elitist emotions that make you say stupid elitist things that have no facts to back them up.

Nope. Sorry, close but no cigar. Because the Japanese has given businesses in their country a 15% tax break, we now have the highest corporate tax rate in the world, with or without the Bush era taxes. We also have choked businesses to death here with all kinds of regulations that causes overhead to soar. The USA is the absolute worst place for any company to invest in. And then folks wonder why there are no jobs. Tax cuts means that the private sector has the CASH to invest in new machinery, new stores, new product to sell. That means jobs. More jobs means there are more people paying into the tax system than are taking out. Tax revenues increase and the payouts to the unemployed go down- it's a win-win situation.
We also need implement a fair trade policy for all countries. What is good for them is good for us. In Japan, you cannot own, as a US company, more than 49% of a company operating there. China is the same way. But we allow them to come here and they can invest in anything they like. We are seeing a lot of the Chinese run oil company trucks here now. It won't be long and they'll pretty much be owning our oil that's under our lands. I don't care what your political stand is, that's not an intelligent thing to let happen. Should we ever get in a war with them, they'll cut off the oil on our land. Now what are you going to use in those billion dollar fighter aircraft you have?

Everyone talks about jobs and it is true we need jobs. Evening the playing field will solve that.

For example, under Obummers South Korean trade plan, the big 3 can now sell 25k cars there a year but Kia and Hyundai can dump hundreds of thousands of cars here if they want. About as fair and balanced as Faux News!

If one is just looking at labor, there is no way we can compare wages to China or 3rd world countries wage levels. We used to offset that with high tariffs and protect American jobs. Now we encourage companies to push jobs out.

I hear people complain about regulations in the US. What di you want? Companies to dump toxins into out drinking water? Pollution as bad as Beijing? Remember the Olympics? They had to shut down industry to clear the smog.

Corporations have one goal...make money. There is nothing wrong with that. However we can take steps to encourage or force them to keep jobs here.

I hear people complain about taxes going to others. What do you expect? The disabled and poor to line up at churches to beg for help? Kind of humiliating don't you think? Plus do you think churches are going to be able to hand money out to support families like those of the 99ers?

I don't want handouts for people but we do need a strong safety net for people.

Why do you think that every other 1st world nation has universal health care? Yes we have great care available but horrible access. One in six have no coverage.

I love hearing calling progressives socialists and communists. That is like calling all conservatives racists.

Anything but unregulated capitalism seems to be the only way to make the right happy and with that we see with that is WorldCom and Enron.

If tax cuts don't lead to increases in debt then why did the debt go up when Reagan and W cut taxes? Why did we have surpluses with Clinton after raising taxes?

Also if corporations are struggling so badly, why are they experiencing record profits? The only places struggling are at the retail end as the people don't have the money to spend since they can't find jobs.

You are describing huge corporations. Apparently, you have no clue what struggles a small to medium sized corporation is going through just to stay in business. They have to operate under those same rules and regulations as the major corporations and the tax, regulations, licensing and reporting processes are extremely burdensome.

A lot of those Kias and Hyundais are being made in Georgia and Alabama. Korean parts fer sure, but good ole American labor. Two factories, 3000 direct jobs apiece.

I understand that a corporation can be as small as a one man show...nonetheless, large corporations that are traded on Wall St. are experiencing the greatest profits ever and are laying people off in the US in droves.

I am all for easing regulations on small companies as long as they aren't detrimental to society. I mean if you are a small waste disposal company, I don't want you dumping the waste you collect into drinking water. Certainly I think that providing minimum wages are important (not too many people can survive on $2.00 a day here in the US). I don't think people should die at work if safety measures can be taken. We assume a lot of things in the US but in other parts of the world they aren't and which leads to cheap production costs.

As far as those Hyundais and Kias...the profits still go back to South Korea. Also we don't make foreign companies share their technology with us to do business with us. Many places do, like China for example.

Just because I think that we should have a thriving middle class and the poor shouldn't suffer similar abject poverty as they do in Haiti hardly makes me a communist or socialist.

Much like that baby in Indiana that needed that surgery to live. The surgery is only performed by one doctor in the US and costs $500K. How many of you can whip out your checkbook and write that check? If most of you can, then I think I must have stumbled onto the Ferrari online forum!
