Michael Vick

Yeah, yeah, he did this, and he did that, but he's whipping an *** tonight on the football field, no doubt about that.

I dont care what anyone says about Vick, he is a human being. We make mistakes, he has completly changed for the better both on and off the field. He is on both of my fantasy teams and earned me 50 pts. this week. That guy is a stud.

I'm just mad I didn't see the game.

However, I did see the highlights.

In a word- "Amazing".

why? because he served his time, didn't say peep about it, and has worked very hard to stay out of the spotlight and just play football? Compared to most ex-con's, I would say Vick is very easy to respect.

Afterall, he is a human being. Everyone makes mistakes.

Its not like he killed another person. What he did is horrible, but at the end of the day, they were only dogs.

Personally, I think the whole thing about Vick and the dog-fighting is so overblown it's ridiculous. Do I have any interest in going to a dog fight? No. Do I think there are far better pursuits in life than dog fighting? Of course. But at the end of the day, I think there is a huge disconnect between the amount of disdain this man has received and the act he committed.

Maybe it's because I'm not a dog lover, or animal lover for that matter, but I just don't get the mock-righteousness people take over him.....

I totally disagree. Paying his dues did not change his nature. Abusing helpless animals takes a human that has something missing, in my opinion. That which was missing is not instilled by taking the punishment. If you will do what he admitted to doing to those dogs, you are just a step away from doing it to a human. Of course, this opinion comes from someone that has more respect for most animals than most people. There is no denying his capabilities on the football field, but scum can float to the top.

He put on a clinic last night. 28-0 in the first quater, not half but quater. If he plays like that every week I'm going to say that Philly will be in the SB

The only reason he isn't fighting dogs right now is because the price is to high, he didn't like prison so he won't do it anymore. He didn't change his nature one bit, prison doesn't change your nature it just makes it not worth the risk. He is unbelievable on the football field, probably the best running qb any of us will ever see but as far as a human being he is despicable.

Basically what I am saying is it should be a perfect fit for Philthy.

A very impressive performance indeed. But c'mon, it was against the RedSkins.

as a Philly fan I had a very hard time originally with the signing of Vick. He did serve time and he continues to talk with kids and organizations around Philly.....I can forgive, just hard to forget is all. He seems to be pretty humble from what I have glimpsed in the news, so time will tell.....and every game that is played they continue to bring up his past (announcers).....but he did and has done well this year on the field. No, that's right, no INT's! The billion dollar man now in DC (thats about right for the area) had 3. I don't miss that part of Mcnabb.

Good football player? Heck yeah.

Good human being? Heck no. Just because he served his time doesn't change what he did. I'll never root for the guy. Just my .02
