Michael Vick
I have a friend that went to VT with Vick. He tells me that he was arrogant and stupid even then. I don't see much difference now. He may be a hell of a QB when he's on his game, but he's a scumbag.
If I were a betting man, I would have to say next year Jake Locker (UW) quaterback will be playing for you Minnasota Vikings
I was watching a special on vick, and although I agree with most of you that what he did was horrible, and that prison didnt change him, I think he has changed even as a person. He was talking about his endorsment deals, and how before the dog incident he was just there to show up and get paid. Now he said he has done lots of charity events, and enjoys his endorsment deals, He actually takes time to talk to kids about different issues, and is much more humbled about his game play. Look at some of the players that we let slip by without even being mentioned. Many have nearly just as serious crimes but do not get noted because thier lack of potential and talant. I'll get off my vick horse now. I do love animals and what he did was pathetic.

After that Randy Moss fiasco, does Minnesota even have any decent draft picks left for next year?

He is unbelievable on the football field, probably the best running qb any of us will ever see but as far as a human being he is despicable.
Basically what I am saying is it should be a perfect fit for Philthy.

No that's not all he did, but clearly trying to explain it to you would be a waste of time.
Ok, so you hate animals, we get it, congratulations, you've been repeating yourself like a broken record.
Thankfully the majority of the people don't share your same sentiments about your apathy to animal cruelty.
A lot can be said about a person by how he treats animals. You're a real piece of work.

I love animals, I have a cat beside each leg as I type atm. I'm not so sure I love cats being inside as much as other animals...but that's not the point.
Michael Vick did a bad thing. He got caught. He went to jail. He has been minding his Ps and Qs since he went back to the NFL. Point is, yeah, he was wrong, but nobody is perfect. You can't find anyone who has never done anything wrong, and it would be hard to find anyone who has never done anything that would adversely impact animals. Anyone that hunts and doesn't eat what they kill is just as bad in my opinion. Yeah, we are the top of the food chain and sometimes things have to die for that cause, especially considering how much I love my steak, burgers, etc..., but nobody is perfect. I can respect him now that he has been put in his place.

I won't condem the guy forever, like you said, he did his time and all that stuff so time to let him move on.
Not sure that I can ever respect the guy, but I don't hate him.
I believe that if a person is sincerely sorry for wrong doings they have done, then everyone deserves a second chance
It's hard to argue with what you said pickup man.

So there is a sentemental side to Habs.
jk
Micheal Vick is finally playing up to his potential. He did his time. Animal lovers would want him punished more no mater how far they went with him and the truth is he got punished much worse then the average Joe off the street would have because of his stature. They were sending a message and all. He lost tens of millions in addition to being locked up for nearly 2 years. The average first time offender probably would have got probation and a fine for a simular offense..
Vick is an incredible talent. Now that he is at his potential the next 5 years should be great watching him. He reminds me allot of Elway.

I don't like what Vick did. I do however understand that his upbringing did not give him the same reverence for dogs as pets as mine did. Many people from other cultures fight animals and are otherwise decent people. I was as outraged by his behavior toward his animals as anyone else, but that is a social issue. He has probably paid more for dog-fighting and animal cruelty than any man ever has... I'm sure he's learned his lesson. And if not, then he's at least learned what it costs in our society and has decided it isn't worth it. I'll never be a fan, but he is apparently a very good player, and is earning his way.
Hey you guys have to understand, Vick said it himself, he grew up that way. He grew up in dog fighting. He didn't grow up in a white suburban neigborhood. Just like people growing up with drugs in their lives. They end up following that trail. He did a bad thing but he did his time. He was justified. Instead of hashing mike vick, what about dante stallworth that killed a person under a DUI and only got 30 days in jail??? All i have to say, vick did his time and now he's KICKING ***! It's time to forgive. -A proud philadelphia eagles fan

I would rather have my team go 0-16 (right now, they are on their way, or close to it, Cowboys) tahn have him play QB there. Yes, i agree he served his term and paid his debt, and i honestly hope Tony Dungy working with him as a mentor will help him change his ways, Dungy is a terrific role model, but he should never take playing in the NFL for granted. We pay athletes way too much money to entertain us... As far as Big Ben, yeah, he is even worse, and he should have been suspended for a year... scum
