I'm not a fan of theCoD series. I just picked up Medal of Honor and I love it. I'm still waiting on the BF: BC2 Vietnam expansion to come out as well as the Battlefield 3 beta

I'm not. Already spent all my money on brakes and Fallout New Vegas.

I'm a little disappointed in the game play, and maps on MoH. They stripped you of leaning online. Not enough maps either, they didn't continue the compensation for distance *sniping* like they had done for BFBC2

Yep looks like they've added some neat features this time around. Not sure how many of you guys have seen this, but it's worth the watch:

That's strange, man. The new MoH is exactly like the new CoD games. Same graphics, gameplay, shooting mechanics, movement, multiplayer, etc. I have Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2. Bought MoH the day it was released because I was looking for a nice change of pace. While it has some minor differences, it was all too similar. Not sure how you can dislike one but like the other when they are near the same thing. Not saying anything bad about MoH being similar, though, because back in the day CoD came out after MoH and the same thing happened then (CoD being similar to MoH).

Great game, but a little disappointing that it didn't try anything new.

How so? It's made by DICE and EA games, with DICE's Frostbite graphics engine. Its a regurgitation of Battlefield BC2, with a touch of MW2's weapon's upgrade system.

I was referring to the campaign. Yes, multiplayer is the biggest difference between the two. I agree that multiplayer is a combo of BC and CoD.

Campaign, however, just screams CoD. Then again, it's near impossible nowadays to make a "modern" FPS that isn't similar in so many ways. I'm waiting to see what comes of Bethesda's Brink. Maybe it will offer a nice change of pace.

Brink

I will agree with that. I like the "sandbox" feel of BF. MoH and CoD have a "forced" feel. I.e: you can only take this route and have to do sequence 1-2-3 before the mission is over. Battlefield you can do whatever you want in whichever order you want in any style you want.

That's probably the biggest similarity. You nailed the exact reason why I am looking for a change of pace. I have yet to try BC2. Sounds pretty good, though, from what you say. May have to see if EB has it pre-owned.

Okay, just finished the campaign. It's just like CoD, STRONG storyline. Basically, it feels like a movie. You follow the same beaten path. Lots of invisible walls preventing you from strategically flanking the enemy. Its all the same, run up this path and get shot at. As a player all you get to control is when you do it.

Battlefield BC2 has THE best campaign ever. It gives you an open desert, and 3 objectives, and an array of weapons. Do whatever you want, when you want, how you want.

Multilayer is better. It has the CoD upgrade series. I like Battlefield better. I dont need lasers, scopes, smooth barrels and cool skins to shoot someone. I like my iron sights stock weapon. All the maps are WAY too small to snipe strategically, and if you are caught in the cross hairs, you're dead. At least in BF if you are getting shot you get time to duck for cover.

All in all, I'll probably spend the rest of the week playing online. But I wouldn't be surprised to find Battlefield: Bad Company 2 back in my disc tray next week.
