It's a megachurch bombshell scandal reminiscent of the one that brought down Colorado evangelist Ted Haggard.
The much-celebrated preacher, Bishop Eddie Long, leader of the 25,000 member New Missionary Baptist Church in suburban Atlanta, has found himself caught up in accusations that he coerced two young men into sexual relations on two different occasions when they were 17 and 18 years old.

The guy is innocent until proven guilty, but when you see he's been sending these types photos of himself to young men of his congregation, you gotta wonder why?

Read about this guy yesterday. He has been preaching the "prosperity gospel" his entire 'career.' Hence, the "megachurch".

He had already been rejected by those that follow Christ's own words. Mr. Long, Joel Osteen, Paula White, Benny Hinn are all very rich people and have corrupted themselves, and it shows.

 

I can't take a pastor seriously who begs for money for the church, then rolls up in a Bently. I saw this exact thing happen at an ex-girlfriends church.

 

So where's all the religious types commenting on the latest sex scandal???
You know what's very interesting?
You get Obama's 17th cousin, 47x removed who farted in some village in Kenya, and the "right" is feverishly posting away about "Hey look, Obama's cousin farted", but then you get some big sex scandal involving a high profile preacher, and it's deathly quiet. (So quiet it's like the silence is deafening)

Habs, you still don't get it. Re-read franks post, this guy can't be defended. Just because he "calls" himself a christian doesn't make him one. The guy is wrong, period, it is a shame so many people have bought into his line. It has been said that every good lie is seasoned with a little truth, and that is exactly what he was doing.

Also watch what you are trying to stirr up or it could get hard to get advise on the water heater. Just kiddin'!

 

People are people Habibi. Church was never made for saints and the people that preach in them are not either.

 

Read Genesis 3. This applies to everyone, not just the church goers, but also those who preach. We are all sinful and have been sent to live as mortals, subject to temptation and destined for death.

What this 'pastor' has done is uncalled for and he should be punished for it. But ultimately, to use this person as an example of all Christians is as wrong as using Osama bin Laden as an example of all Muslims.

 

Well its not just a "Catholic" priest problem of seducing young men. And its not a celibate problem either.
Ministers who are married and those that are not are just as susceptible of being a sodomite and a pedophile.
