Islamic mosque at ground zero????!!
Hey everyone, I just saw on the news where they have approved to build an Islamic mosque on Ground Zero in New York. They want to celeberate the "opening" on SEPTEMBER 11TH, I'm not sure if it will be completed this year or next year but the plans are to build a 13 story "mega mosque" at Ground Zero. They are having lots of heated town meetings about it. I think it's a slap in the face to every American who died on that day. Just wanted to know what you guys/gals on here thought about it. There's tons of videos on youtube about it if you want to check it out. What is our country coming to???

I just done some further research and it is said to cost $100 million and be completed within the next 3 years. And they do plan to open it on September 11th. I could go on and on but like you Harleydude, I am speechless.
let them build it and then fly a couple predator drones into it.
it is a huge insult to us. but with our muslim president and attorney general the will not prosecute racial voting intimidation what do you expect.
get ready to give up july 4th, memorial day and other holidays of the like and celebrate ramadamadingdong or whatever they call it.

anyone have a link to such story about ground zero?
It really is a slap in the face to those who died there, but if they do say "no", then the NAACP and all those people will come out with the a "discrimination of religion" case. They should have just made the area a monument to the twin towers.

The short story on this is that we have religious freedom in this country, and these people purchased the land fair and square with zoning laws that permit their structure's intended use. I don't like it, but there it is. We can't pick and choose for whom we honor the principles this nation was built on. Besides, if they get out of hand, it will make a nice bonfire...
It IS a slap in the face of American's though... And I think it's intended to be.

Very good question.
Not just anyone can afford a $100 million building.
Count me in as also wanting to know who is paying for it, and what their agenda is.

It's a slap in the face for over 90 different countries.
