East Coast Bliss

You know what's great about being back in the New Jersey / New York area? They have real pastrami here.

Seriously.

Real pastrami.

In real delis.

As in REAL.

It's true.

Wait . . . how did I get here?

I would say nothing good could come out of me being in that area but that's just me.

Why is that?

And we have 100 degree heat here right now.

And there are other things that are blissful in the NY/NJ area that are a lot better than the pastrami.

They'd probably throw me in jail for beating on all the guidos.

They had better be little guidos, if you expect to survive!

Oh ok, well you're just talking about staying away from New York then. (Don't get me started on that Jersey Shore show).

Essentially, not really. Just stopped here for bidness. Didn't want to be out and about during last night. (Too freaking hot).

Just here for a two day stop over (in fact, already at the airport to go home) and won't be anywhere near Philly. And besides, Pat's - King of Steaks RULES!

FREAKIN'-A, tell me about it!!!! WHO THE HELL LEFT THE HEATER ON!!!! It was 97 when I left the house! Supposed to be about 100 today and tomorrow, thankfully I'll be gone. I'm at the airport and it says it's 96 outside here. Damn!

Where I'm currently living there is only deep fried everything and biscuits and gravy. There are steaks, which are good, but there is no pastrami. There is actually a restaurant near my town that calls itself a "deli" and they don't serve pastrami. When you get a hankerin' for pastrami, then nothing else will do. Harold's, in Edison. Dang! Good stuff! (I heard Harold is opening another place in New Brunswick . . . or East Brunswick . . . or one of those Brunswicks.)

I'll be back in about 4 weeks and they better turn the heat off.

I'm right near Edison so I'll have to check out Harold's. And my sister lives in one of the Brunswick's. There are actually 4 of them.

Looking for work? What happened to the job that took you into the hinterlands?

Our weather this way has been very unseasonably cool, usually by this time we've had several days in the 90's coming close to the 100's. So far this year we've barely made it into the 80's. I'm trying to figure out where this so-called 'Global Warming' is happening 'cause it damn sure ain't here!! Sorry your 4th was a bit on the dull side.

Hey Kobi, long time no see!

What part of NYC will you be in (I'm assuming time spent in NY will be in the city)? I'll be up there doing some diving work July 25-Aug 14. If you haven't had Grimaldi's Pizza, check it out. Just under the Brooklyn Bridge, on the Brooklyn side. Cash only.
