Ford Fiesta?
Ford Fiesta?
So I've been debating whether or not to purchase a Ford Fiesta and trade in my 01 Altima but I can't really find any reviews or reports on the Fiesta. From stories that I've heard about the old fiesta's they were not that sturdy but do you think it may have got better?

it was and probably will be the best vehicle I ever owned, had the Festiva 17 years, bought in Brand new, only let me down once, at least it was in my own driveway, needed a new battery, (I can't understand it, the battery was only 9 years old) Average fuel consumption for daily running around and going to work (12 minutes each way city driving )was about 1/2 gallon a day. Parts are available for cheap, an example 4 tires at walmart, installed, ballanced taxes and enviro charges was $156.68. Check out this forum http://www.fordfestiva.com/ You can't go wrong buying a Festiva ........... The only thing I suggest is do not buy one with an Automatic tranny. I travel 75- 80 mph down the interstate no problem. At that speed I average 42 - 44 mpg.
Yeah most definitely I would be purchasing one with a manual. Usually better MPG as well as fun to drive. And you guys are saying they are going to be a lot more dependable than the older ones. What do you think the depreciation value will be for it? Do you think it will be horrendous like some of the vehicles on the market these days?
Never stopped making them, just in the USA market

Seems like it would be a pretty nice car 29/38 mpg aint bad either
there saying the auto will get 30/38 which seems kinda strange

With a five-speed manual transmission, Ford expects the Fiesta to earn EPA ratings of 29/38 mpg (city/highway); the dual-clutch automatic will get an even better 30/38 mpg, an engineer estimated. An optional Superior Fuel Economy Package on the automatic-equipped Fiesta SE, which adds aerodynamic enhancements and low-rolling-resistance tires, bumps that up to 30/40 mpg. Those figures top the current class-leading Toyota Yaris — in the automatic SFE's case, by around 10 percent. Impressive
I heard a recent Ford test team achieved 48 mpg in a V6 Mustang
V6 Mustang... yuck..
But I'm thinking if I do end up buying the Fiesta I would take my truck off the road just to save some money while I'm going to college. Plus saving mileage on the truck as well. The money I save just on the insurance will pay for the car as well as the money I would be paying the the gas would be my money I can put away for new parts!! haha.
I hate driving my Altima as is. I like it about the first month I had it when it was my only vehicle then it became a headache...haha.
