I haven't got back to the Firefox file yet. But now I have lost my spell checker. I haven't changed any settings on the computer other than changing from Bing to Google, and the only reason I did that is I have been using map.google with my microsoft mappoint delivery software, so I'm just kind of partial to it.

But any ideas on why I lost iespell check. I was using it just yesterday.
I believe the spell checker may have been part of the Bing setup. Check under internet options/programs tab/manage add-ons. It lists different add ons for different things. I would be willing to bet if you went back to Bing, the spell checker would work again.

Ok, I switched it back to bing, and am using it to reply to this post. I then restarted the browser.
The message I get says,
"Exception raised, Automation server can't create object".

I've also tried to delete the failed attempts to install fire fox. The machine will not let me delete them. I tried to download a different version of fire fox for 64 bit, with no luck.
I may go back to my restore point, because I have nothing on here of importance.

Edit:Spell checker is now back after a reboot. I deleted Google as a search provider, even though it wasn't the default. I did both before I realized the spell checker was working again. So I'm not sure what fixed it.
