That is no kidding! It's downright cold most of the winter as we hardly eek out of the 20-30's most days and jump for joy when we see 40's or 50's; BUT its the wind chills that make it unbearable... They can take a 30 degree day to the single digits in no time at all.

lol you guys are so funny takin pictures of everything. *not joking* is this the frist time some of you have seen snow in real life?

guess im used to it been seeing it all 21 years of my life and been sliding sideways in it since i was 16

heres what happend to lower michigan a few days ago we got 6" and were getting another 6-10" monday.

A thought ocured to me. you guys in texas and other places down there dont have windsheild scrapers! anything more then 4" is REALLY hard on the wiper motors. i keep my scraper in my truck all year bc michigan does some goofy stuff in march or somthing it was 65-70 for a week the next week it was 20 and snowed 5"s

enjoy it while it lasts down there i love snow.

LOL 20-30 cold? im outside in a sweat shirt at that temp. we have had weeks of nothing but -15. had -20 for a few days didnt start my truck the batt. was dead after 3 days of -20

Metroplex is the local name for Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington and all the attached cities. Ther are maybe 30 towns, you never know when you leave one and start another, so just called the Metroplex

Yeah, I was there on New Years about 1968 or 1969. It was 19* with a 30 mph wind. Snowing sideways. I said let me get back to Abilene and I would never do that again.

Thanks! I was shocked to see them all make a pit stop here.

Also, now you all can see why I have buckdropper on ignore. Makes for much nicer forum viewing.

The really funny thing is I can see half of my lawn here in MA. We haven't got much snow, yet.

My dad took some bird pics yesterday too...these are off his facebook.
Taken through my parents' front window, so some are a little blurry.

And some pelicans showed up at the lake he fishes at (Lake Leon)

My sister from Alabama said it's a big mess down there. The city, county, and state DOT aren't exactly equipped to deal with the stuff. So it just piles/slushes up on the road and people don't know how to drive in it... Cars in the ditch left and right.
