My husband has an Optima in his truck and he loves it but he also bought it 6/7 years ago. If they've gone downhill like everyone says I'd think twice about getting another one. Has anyone had any experience with Napa's Exide Orbital battery? I have heard that it's a lot like the Optima but at a way better price.

They do....

I replaced my optima 4 times in my 2004 F-150. When the last one died I took it to the store I bought it from and told them I didn't want the POS anymore and they can just have it. To my surprise they gave me a FULL refund.

With that said, I still have an optima redtop that I bought when I was 16(nearly 10 years ago) still working today in one of my mustangs. In mid 2004 Optima was bought out, and they just haven't been made the same ever since.

I still have a 1999 optima yellow top in my hunting rig and its still going strong.
I haven't bought any optimas after 2004. I knew after they got bought out that they were going downhill.

I agree. The Sears Platinum is the best.

Diehard Platinum is what i would suggest to get instead of a optima...I have one on my F150 and Jeep and they are great.
