Of course it's not the ONLY factor but it does factor in.

You would be surprised at the rate of fatal infections in U.S. hospitals compared to Canadian hospitals. The Canadian healthcare system is not as terrible as portrayed by the American corporate media.

Healthcare should NOT be a federal issue. It should be a state issue only.

If the people of the state don't want socialized health care, then they don't have it.

If they do, they can have it.

A couple of states are already doing this. If this type of method was used more often, 90% of the gripes the people of the US have would be gone...

The Canadian health system is not a bad system. It has it's flaws, just like the American system does. Ill take the American System over the Canadian System.

Maybe not but I'll take my chances in order for the government to keep their grubby hands out of every area of my life. I don't trust them therefore I don't want them in my life. They are parasites.

Perhaps you should look into moving to another country.

Perhaps you should look into coming up with a more intelligent response.

It was simply a suggestion based on your post. Sorry if I touch a nerve.

I well endeavor to be more intelligent in the future.

TORONTO (Reuters) – Pressured by an aging population and the need to rein in budget deficits, Canada's provinces are taking tough measures to curb healthcare costs, a trend that could erode the principles of the popular state-funded system.

Eh this thread wasn't that old...

You can't give things away forever. We'll learn that lesson here before too long as well.

I like hoiw things get blown way out of perportion with the media, like that article you just posted is the first I read of anything like that. If there was some truth in it I think it shouldve been in my news up here too no
Always love these threads too, because there is usually one guy that will post stating that he hates every Canadian, even tho hes probably never met one of us or been up here for that matter

We don't hate Canadians. It's true that we don't get up that way very often.

But we have met plenty of Canadians. Nice folks. They come down here all the time when they need advanced medical treatment

Sadly, you're more correct than you probably realize. The Canadians are notorious for taking, but offer little in return. They're nice enough folks, but as a nation don't count on them as "friends".
