Problem in this forum .....

Now that I have your attention its not what you think.
Its a internet problem I'm having with this site ..I ocassionaly get the message "A script is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly would you like to abort" Then the screen freezes wether you say yes or no.
It seems to be an intermitent problem..its not happening as I type this, but it did when I 1st logged on after clicking on a e-mail notification about a thread I was subscribed to.
Any one else having this problem..although the message mentions Explorer I'v also had it happen with goggle chrome. Its got to be a setting somewhere but I've reset, gone back to defaults, reset acording to on line search recommondations etc..and still from time to time it happens..also..cant run mafia wars if anyone is familiar with that program in facebook.I loose the ability to scroll.?????

No it happens in any forum; just on this board (no other internet sites have this issue).

I think it is a virus/spyware type thing. I get stuff like that sometimes too. Didn't happen when I first got my computer. Only after a while of net surfing and stuff.

I have been having some other problems with my connection, so I thought this was just part of the spy ware and ad ware I was getting. I guess now I know, that's one problem I can cross off my list.

I was havin a lot of trouble when doing ANYTHING on the internet. Every time I clicked on something this window would pop up and say how the site has malware and is gonna crash my computer. That was with IE. I downloaded FF and haven't had any problems since.

Not sure if IE is the problem, but maybe try FF or Google Chrome and see if it still does it.

I'v ran scans for spy/malware and ran a virus scan.Only thing showinng up is your typical tracking cookies. After doing some investigating on google search I deleted and installed the latest flash player and made sure i have the latest version of directX.
I was just curious if anyone else had the problem.I go to 5-6 different forum sites like this one for different car and motorcycles and so far its only happened here. But I'm in here more often so the odds are greater that it would act up in here.
It wouldn't be so bad if when it happens you could just click to stop running scripts or to wait..but it locks it up so that you have to go into task manager and close it down from in there and start all over..and then it works even though nothing else has changed.

Oh and just a P.S...Sorry I didnt see that this problem had another thread going, I didnt mean to start a new thread if there was one alreay out there and current.

Yeah it comes in stages. It starts then keeps doing it time after time then eventually stops. It was awful yesterday
