I had an 02 Silverado I bought new and put 75,000 on with no real problems, but I will not buy another. Just not built as well as the Ford and the materials are not as good. I could really tell a difference.

You only like it cause it's new. Your feelings for it will change here shortly.

I suppose i'll have to like it, she never drives when we go anywhere and we always take her vehicle since mine gets 10-12mpg
I probably put 60,000 of the 80,000 miles that were on her previous vehicle

It has the 5.3, but I think some GMC's have a 6.0. It was reading 17mpg yesterday but it only has 100 miles on it so I'm sure it will get better. I can't believe how fast it is, but then again I don't remember what my truck was like before I lifted it.

My grandpa has an 07 or 08 2500 GMC with the 6.0. I rode in it once and IMO didn't really care for it.

No you and your wife are gonna have to hook'em up!

I agree, but $1500 buys a lot of gas

Not a fan of the look of the Chevy's or GMC's but its not all that bad looking. I like the F-150 interior better

You did say when it wears out and it's only an 02. It might be broke in. You'll wise up by then

Lets just hope she doesn't have to tow anything or use it like a truck. She might snap the tie rods or snap the frame in two .

I feel your pain. My wife had to have a 08 red silverado...But the only difference was it was cheaper then buying another f150 at the time. I got 10k off in rebates plus her car trade, so it was ok. Its nice and it runs good, but it doesnt seem like it is as good a quality interior as my lariat..? I know the SLT is pretty sharp though.
