My brother has a Chevy 2008 extended cab with the 5.3 flex 4x4 for his work truck. His will get better fuel mileage than my 4.6. He gets a solid 24-25 mpg hiway at 70 mph. I can squeeze out 24.5 out of my 4.6 but at 65 mph and that's having to play with the throttle to get it. His will out run any 5.4 I've ever driven and I've driven a bunch. But, don't push it in any kinda mud...unless you have friend with a strap. His has to be the lousiest four wheel drive I've ever seen. We got stuck in the pasture on dry loose dirt with his. All but buried it. I drove around him with my 2 wheel drive and pulled him out. He's REAL careful where he drives it now. He's already told the boss if he gets stuck, look for smoke cause he'll cut and bring wood to burn it where it's stuck. The interior in his is already aging and fast. So far he's had no problems with it. He's got right at 35,000 on it. Best of luck with yers. I like the white better than any of the other colors offered.

GMC was my first choice and my idea looked a little something like this. I still wouldn't trade my 50 for any other truck unless for another Ford of course.

I have a 98 with over a quarter million miles and it's better than broke in. They can last along time.

Love the white pearl colour. I'd drive it!

Also like the GMC front end better then the Chebby.
I agree, the truck is nice. It was just the principle of her knowing i'm a Ford guy and she wanted the GMC. AND of course she just thinks it's hilarious that i'll have to drive it more than she does I'll live.

There isn't one chance in HE11 that either me or my wife would send one thin penny of our money over to Obama and his henchmen......

That's one sweet lookin' GMC man
I'd definitely drive it. My dad has an '09 Silverado crew cab and I love that pickup.
I like the new Fords, but I only like them in FX4, lariat, king ranch, or platinum packages (the grille, wheels, etc. don't look right on XLTs and the other cheaper packages), so I'd have to spend $40k on a Ford I like. The GM equivalent to an XLT looks good, while the new XLTs dont imo. So, sorry to say, but if I could buy a new truck...it would probably be a chevy :o

I'm sorry for you. They say it only seems kinky the first time (buying a GM), let's hope it doesn't happen again. We are all pulling for your recovery!!!
