did at&t start something they can't finish?
That is BS that you can get every app that is in the App Store on the Blackberry or Android. My iPhone doesn't cost me any more than it would if I had a Blackberry or Android phone, the data charge is the same.\
Called up ATT yesterday and asked about moving down to the 550 minute plan and they did it no problem, no my monthly cost is only 149.99 before taxes. Nice!

I searched for BlackBerry Tide Chart Apps and found only one. Problem is it doesn't access the internet and download actual conditions, it predicts based on a table of data in the program. It also sells for $9.99. Good thing ShralpTide is free and gives real time data from monitoring buoys, including those used by the US Coast Guard.
Also looking around appworld.blackberry.com there appears to be only 4,064 apps available (~1500 are games or references/ebooks) and of all those 4,064 apps, only 959 are free. What was the last count for iPhones, 117,000+ approved apps?
Now why do you have to go and say stuff like that? Does it make you feel better about what you have? It doesn't bother me one bit. I get everything I need with my plan and then some. If I pay $20 a month more than you, I don't really care, it isn't going to break my bank account.
Edited to add: I went to Verizonwireless.com to see what a plan for 2 Droids would be. They're telling me for the same plan I'm getting with AT&T, it would cost me $169.93, more than $20/mo than I'm paying now.

I just don't believe that. If you can show me where to get ShralpTide for a BB I'll be more willing, but from what I've heard/seen, the iPhone has more, and better apps.

I looked at crackberry and saw something there that said 700 apps available. I can't get the actual site to load though. Still, a far cry from the 117,000+ apps available on iTunes.
I think it all goes back to what you use it for. For personal use, I don't think anything beats an iPhone right now. For business, I'd go with a BlackBerry.

Do you understand that is just apps from crackberry, there are about 3 other app stores plus a ton of individual apps. Plus that's not all the apps from crackberry.

I don't know alot about tides because I am in the northern part of Texas, but those 2 took me about 2 minutes on google to find.
As far as apps, iphone has a ton of bs apps like soundboards and other pretty much usless apps, its cool that they have them but that really drives up the app count. Apps that will actually be used like the tide app and others like it will be available for the iphone and the blackberry. Its really hard to get an acurate count on how many apps are available for the blackberry because there are so many versions and they are available from tons of different places.

That 117,000 isn't even including the apps that are on Cydia either. Lol I don't see how 4000 apps + 3000 apps plus a few other sites equals anywhere near 100,000 but maybe my math is just wrong.
And the monthly charge is almost identical for service between 2 iPhones on ATT and 2 Blackberry Storm 2s on Verizon with 700 minutes a month. Except Verizon doesn't offer unlimited text messaging and you have to pay extra for visual voicemail, they're both around $175 before tax and govt fees.
Argue all you want, I could care less. I'm very happy with what I chose and thats all that matters.
