Can they really do anything if you pretended to be drunk?

I don't think there are any laws in place stating that if you feel its funny to screw with cops at DWI check points by being pretending to be drunk that they can do anything. I've heard of truck drivers doing that crap.

I'd be careful of that. If they have the cameras and microphones recording, you just admitted to the crime. Sure they will let you go at some point but if you **** them off you could be waiting ina cold concrete cell for 12 hours

And do what with ya? All they have is you telling them you are drunk and they have no evidence. I could see making some serious money off that. They technically can't do anything because someone can't go from being drunk off their butt to totally sober in less time than it takes to add 1+1. I'm sure if they tried putting someone in jail for being pretending to be drunk, I think that it would hit national TV, and no police dept. wants that. Trust me.

It is a different way of measuring. We use % BAC or Percent Blood Alcohol Content. Here most states have a legal limit of .08% BAC which is the same as .40 mg/ml.

If a person was to have a .40% BAC they would more than likely be passed out or very close to it. This is about the threshold for severe alcohol poisoning.

Ok. in USA there are DWI checkpoints

How often are the LEO accept or ask for a bribe in order to pass the checkpoint without make a medial test?

Is it possible to alter a medical test in order to pass below .04 even if you are above that mark?

Thanks!

Pretending to be drunk and wasting their time while they could actually be catching drunk drivers is "obstruction of justice" and is a crime in itself. All the patrol cars now have 24hr. video survellance and if you are pulled over and drunk you will go to jail, you don't pass go and you don't get $100 !! Don't do it.

Yes it's called the 4th Amendment to the consitution. Also the 5th would be violated as well (you can't testify to incriminate yourself.

In the USA DUI checkpoint are unconstitutional, but we don't follow it anyhow and the cops have the guns, the cuffs, and the judges on their side.

Woe be the cop that gets me in a DUI drag net. (PS I don't drink either)
