If he got mad and wrecked his SUV he needs to share why solely because of his iconic stature. He is human after all.

Pretty simple to me. Tiger gets influenced by money and women, word gets back to wife. He comes in late, they get into a fight, he picks up a wedge, she trumps him with a 5-iron. He knows he's faster than her so he bolts for the Caddy (won't take the Buick because it might jeopardize future endorsements).

He backs the Caddy out, turns it and notices she's much faster than he anticipated while still carrying the 5-iron. He drops it into "D" and tromps on it just as she's getting to the rear of the car. He looks up in the rear view, taking his attention away from the rapidly acceleratingly Escalade for just a second. He hits the street, the hydrant, and the tree simultaneously just as Elin hits the rear window with a perfectly struck 5-iron. Sounds like par for the course to me!

I disagree, it's no one's business but their's. Ben Hogan would have told them what they could do with his whole bag of clubs.

I disagree. Ben Hogan wasn't in the spotlight much, but even when he had his possible career ending and life threatening accident he was very open about it. Everybody knows the story.

I guess Tiger isn't of the same mold after all.

I personally couldn't care less. Whatever the result, I won't be affected in the least. If this was Mr and Mrs Joe Schmoe nobody would care but because it's a celebrity it's a big deal, like always. The excuse it always the same, they're a role model to kids. How about taking the time and making the effort to be your own kids role models so they don't have to look for one else where.

Sorry. I just think people need to mind their own business. Rant over.

I think we are all overlooking the bigger picture here. There is something at hand here that is rarely talked about... Female on Male domestic violence. Tiger could end up in a shelter somewhere wondering how it all went so wrong. He will blame himself and everyone will wonder why he didn't leave sooner! How many black eyes is he willing to take?
He will be a role model to all husbands out there who have just sat there and took it way too long!

I guess I'll have to join in here.

It always amazes me how we have an absolute NEED to drag anyone down who has become an "achiever". We just can't stand to see them looking a little more "successful" than the rest of us, can we? Can anyone stand up to the "glare" of being a "role model"? Could any of us?

I say, leave the guy alone. He's going to have problems, bigger ones than any of us will have. Just enjoy his accomplishments on the golf course.

I was just proving my point...

Just like Jack said... the media pulls people down who have issues and people just go along with it. I don't get people's fascination with celebrity issues. As Jack said, enjoy the aspects of their lives that we see on the field, stage, court, track, rink ect. That's all. Americans are too focused on everyone else's business but their own. That's why coverage like this is so prominent. Do I care who f'd who, who got a boob job, what styles are hot ect, no I don't. But then again, I have my own issues and life to take care of.

The media isn't putting Tiger's issues out there, his iconic status is. That's what happens when you're so worldly popular. Some people care about him in ways some of us, including me, don't understand. Maybe it's an infatuation.

I could care less about what the media does with celebrities. When I have issues in my personal life I don't make a point to go around and spread it to the world because I'm just an average Joe so who cares, but I do share it with the people that need to know. He just has more people that need to know.

That is kind of my point. Thanks!
It's not easy at the top. No matter what you are top of.(Some exceptions may apply)
