Here's a video from a few months ago. You could count the dots!

You could add up all the cities that have a commercial airport and multiply that by two. It will be at least that many.

Mt2BFilled are there any seats on the planes to carry any passengers or is the entire thing all converted for cargo?

FedEx flies DC-10s, MD-11s, Cessna 208B Grand Caravans, Boeing 727-200Fs and I think thats it. The big ones, DC-10-30F and the MD-11F's have like 3 or 4 jumpseats behind the ****pit for loadmasters and anyone who needs to travel from one hub to another.

allstar8806, are you just looking for cheap travel?

I've heard of UPS (or FedEx, don't remember now) using one of their planes as a life-flight vehicle to fly a critically injured person out from some pissant tiny town in the middle of nowhere. I don't think it was all that long ago....

They won't let just anyone fly on their aircraft. The jumpseats are reserved for cargo/loadmasters or hub managers travelling to/from different hubs for FedEx work- its not like you can purchase a ticket and show up with a suitcase.

I can see that being possible as they can be required by (insert appropriate country government here) due to the fact that it is a life-threatening emergency, as well as it sounds it was possibly FedEx with their 208B Grand Caravans. UPS does not fly these (to my knowledge).

Hahaha no its not for me, In my business strategy class we have to give a presentation on a financial analysis and come up with three strategy's for fedex and i thought selling 3-4 tickets to fly in their cargo planes when they planes are not filled to capacity with cargo would be an easy way to make money for the wasted space.

I don't think they can legally do that due to the need for a different FAA certification to fly revenue passengers.

The only people who can fly on FedEx are folks who hold a valid FAA license and have direct contact with the aircraft eg.pilots and mechanics.
