Actually, I did say which one in post #71. But you don't seem to be paying attention. Fox News has the most fair and balanced news of any source so when they say something, it pays to listen. If you want to know about european style socialism and how it differs from what capitalism is all about, listen to Glenn Beck or Sean Hannity.

You guys crack me up.

Everyone knows that's not how socialized medicine works. Socialized medicine means the government pays for it and is in control of it, not the individual.

Do they even let you watch Fox in canada? I bet not!

It looks like your main purpose in starting this thread was to spread propoganda and then when confronted with the truth you just attack the messenger.

You still haven't acknowledged all the canadians who die because of socialized medicine. I bet you know a few yourself.

I bolded the ones that stood out the most, however if you notice you have a better chance of dieing in a US system on EVERY ailment then an Canadian system. And again, our system is NOT socialist. We have private insurance which is the exact opposite then a socialist system when the government provides ALL SERVICES. And no I dont personally know anyone who has died because of this 'system' you speak of. I only know of 3 people in my life who have died. My uncle was crushed by the semi he was unloading, a friend from school died in a car accident from drunk driving, and a girl I know killed herself because of depression.

I have a few options of which american channel I want to watch. I also get time shifting for free so I can watch shows from Detroit earlier at night then waiting till 10 when they come on.

I have a neighbour who could not find a diagnosis he liked at several clinics he chose to go to so he paid $60,000 to go to two Mayo clinics in the U. S. and received the same result. Either his illness is too hard to diagnose or its in his head but either way it shows U. S. health care is similar to Canadian. Except for the $60,000.
Fox news tells Americans what they want you to hear. If you want true unbias news about the U.S.find it outside the U.S. I cannot believe the brainwashing that goes on with U. S. news. Have any of your news sources told you what the rest of the world thinks of the U. S? People that know don't like to travel outside the U. S. too much because they feel threatened dispite all the good you are told you do. The U.S. does not do favors. They act in their best interest at all times, not unlike other countries.

I have been reading this thread since it was started and I don't feel that "the cosworth" has been misleading anyone and painting a rosie picture. I have seen no propoganda. The "truth" you speak of is nothing more than your opinion. You don't like Canada. We get it. Have a nice day.

When I checked in on this thread again,(great by btw, thanks cos) I read the response by Raoul and thought the following one was Raoul again speaking with his tongue planted firmly in his cheek, like usual and thought it was pretty funny. Then the responses following from Habs etc. were taking it seriously so I checked the name again and saw it was Realnot Raoul!! This guy has some serious problems starting with chronic Closed Mind Syndrome. Probably caused by a daily overdose of "Fair and Balanced" Faux News. Anyone who takes Hannity the racist or Beck the Vaporub induced weeper seriously has real problems that need to be addressed by extended therapy.

I, like Cos, have had many broken bones along with various ailments over the years and have never had a bad experience with our hospitals or the health care system in general or out of pocket costs. I must say that I'd rather have the first question asked of me in the emergency room be "what seems to be the problem" instead of "do you have insurance" or "how will you be paying?". I can't honestly say that I know anyone or have heard of anyone who's died because of our Government Death Panels.

Habibi, we've had "pay before you pump" here in BC for more than a year now. Pain in the *** if you use cash, but, I have my cardlock card and my trusty old Husky card, so, no problem.
BTW, I took the nerf bars off a couple of years ago as they started to rust out (damned Ontario rock salt!!) and I'm just waiting til I have the money and motivation to get them sand blasted and powder coated...

regards

no unfortunately milk is no fun here

Clothes for normal price are around the same, what is different is the outlet malls. We dont really have them and if they do it is usually 10-20% off sticker for price. A lot of people go to the US because your guys's outlet malls are crazy cheap.

Also you have specialty stores that we dont always have. We only had a few Tiffany and Co's in big cities so if people want to go and buy tiffany's stuff they would rather be in vegas

Hey buddy!
I normally pay at the pump with my cc because I'm such a lazy *****, this saves me a trip from having to go inside, wait in line and pay there.
The other night however we were in Watertown, NY, I couldve paid at the pump, but I was paying in cash because I had some US money I wanted to get rid of before it becomes completly worthless (Oh I got them good didnt I? )

Glad you got as long as you did out of those bars, up my neck of the woods, there's not a single truck I see with them in my model year, where they are not rusting. The powder coating sounds like a smart idea.

As far as our friend 'real", I have a sneaking suspican it's somebody's 'troll account', because when I use logic and common sense, it's almost impossible that someone could be THAT MUCH of a dumbass.

Later man

Alberta switched to PATP between 6pm and 6am when BC enacted Jordans law (the one that makes them have pre pay)
