Hopefully he means a USP compact for concealed carry.

I know people that conceal carry Colt 1911's in .45ACP. USP's are a little smaller and lighter. It's not THAT hard.

A 1911 is very thin it has a large frame but it doesn't imprint to bad because its so thin. I carry a xd 40 service model and I have to make sure im not imprinting fairly ragularly, but its worth it to me because I trust that gun more than any other I have ever shot.

Get yourself a Crossbreed Supertuck and you can carry any sized handgun, some will be more comfortable than others. I comfortably carry a officers model 1911 on a regular basis. as well as A Kahr CW9 or CW45. I have tried a number of concealed holsters and once I got the Supertuck my search was over.

i think one of the big questions is how threatened you feel you are.

if plans go as planned i will be relocating to florida in the next couple months. i was going to get a non resident ccw so that i could pack while driving back and forth from there to jersey. i am now going to wait till i get there to get a ccw. i bought my wife a .380 sig. its only 6 shot but that would get an assailants attention and i know if it was to big she wouldnt take it with her. plus it is easier for her not to be seen concealing it. i have a glock 19- 9mm which i would carry. i could carry my glock 21 but its bigger and heavier. the .45 would definetly get the job done better but if it comes down to leaving the house and thinking i dont want to carry it cause its to heavy and big it wont do any good at home.

So many holsters to choose from. I dont wear a belt all the time so I need something that clips. Looking at this Fobus http://www.opticsplanet.net/fobus-st...ones-cz75.html but not sure. The holster I have now is a pos leather clip on that the stupid clip keeps sliding off my pants. Real nice when your gun falls off your hip and hits the concrete. S & W MP9. I like that seat buddy holster too for the truck.

Dude, you need a belt. Drawing your gun with the holster attached to isn't going to do you a lot of good when seconds count.

Uhh, I'm confused. The gun clips in the holster (the one I linked). Does it not?

I currently carry a G19, but am about to purchase a S&W M&P40c. I have an MTAC IWB holster and love it. I will be getting one for the M&P40.

Waiting on my license here in NM... they've got a backlog of about 3-6 months, so it might be awhile. Still, I've got my M&P9c ready and a Kholster to put it in. Similar to a Supertuck but much less expensive.

You need a belt to hold the holster in place when you draw because it clips to a belt. I tried a Fobus holster for my Glock 30 and I hated it and ended up returning it. Do not go cheap I made that mistake and ended up going with Bianchi.

Johnny ditch the Fobus and get a Blackhawk Serpa. The Fobus is cheap, holds the gun at the wrong times and will rub your pistol wrong.

The Serpa is close to the fobus as far as fit and feel but has markedly better quality and you can pancake or belt it and adjust the cant. more then A "screw".

Cannonball... word of caution with the M&Ps... depending on how you carry It is very easy to press the mag release and then the magazine is loose/falls out (IWB seems to be worst)... Great gun just that one thing I know of.

Still currently carrying my G26, passed up on a PM9. I think I made the right call.
