I honestly don't think it's just hunters, I think it's most everybody has a lack of respect anymore. I used to be able to hunt and fish on a lot of people's land, but due to idiots leaving gates open, leaving their beer cans all over, and even shooting cattle, alot of farmers are just fed up, and saying "No More" to anyone and everyone. I can't blame them, that's their livelihood, but it hurts when you've known them for all your life and still can't hunt/fish. Being outdoors is going to become a "Rich Man's Sport" just like everything else. The "Rich Men" are the A$$HOLES that think their chit don't stink, and ruin it for the rest of us!

I have had many trespassers on my land and have thrown off each one except one, he was a older man in his 80's and i allowed him to hunt there out of respect for him. His property is right at the end of mine and he has been hunting there for 50 years so who am i to stop him, he has full use of that area and we try to keep away while he is out there. He always brings us things his wife has cooked and always asks permission before he hunts so it is a win win for me.

But others when i confront them they have a million excuses as to why they are there,ie: you know i am lost or ray smuckitelly said they could hunt there or i did not see the posted signs, man it goes on and on. The only time i allow people on is when they are tracking a bleeder or if they ask PERMISSION first.

I have 64 acres and it is well posted but they come and i boot them off. One guy with his young son was the best I say your on private land and he says well who are you i own this land, i say what i am the owner here and he says to me prove it???. So i show him my pistol and he leaves but no without arguing with me all the way out and his kid hears all this and will end doing the same dam thing.

I agree with you BuckDropper, it's only going to get worse. My wife's family owns at least 270 acres out in Central KS where I hunt, and even though I know most everybody around there, (since I grew up there), I still get ALOT of excuses.

One old guy that I used to go out with, over by Ellsworth, KS and his grandson, REALLY get upset when the "Out-of-Towners" come in. They used to be able to hunt just about the entire Unit 4 of Kansas' units. Now, even though he owns a bunch of land, rents other land, and knows EVERYBODY around him for miles, he can't argue with them for leasing their land out for an unGodly amount of $$$ which supplements their income. I was with him when he took a 191" B&C buck, (it's in the KS books as 187", but re-scored), that he sold to someone and got two replica mounts of it also. They have got to survive also. Unfortunately, they cannot "patrol" their land at all times, and there are now where near enough "Wildlife Conservation Officers" to patrol everywhere either.

$$$$$$$ talks!!!

As long as everything goes right, I should be going on my first Whitetail hunt up in Northern New York. And I mean NORTH, right near the Canadian border. My buddy lives up there, and invited me out.
Then, later in the year, out to Texas for some more whitetail, and if I am really lucky, a trip in Kentucky, and Florida. Gonna be a good year if it all pans out.

My dad and some of his friends fly up there every other year for pheasant hunting, they always have a great time. I have heard the coyote hunting up there is good too.

I am pretty much ready I trimmed up and brushed out the firing lanes four weeks ago and have been baiting. I kicked up a good size deer when I walked into my post a week ago.
