Quote: Boo freakin' hoo. It's all about strength of schedule, and Auburn hasn't played a ranked team... yet. there is more to rankings than just wins and losses, that's why USC if above Auburn. Cincinnati is undefeated, but there is no way in ---- that they should jump USC, especially with wins over Rutgers, S.E. Miss State, and Miami (OH). with that said, if Auburn plays well in the later and harder part of their schedule, you'd have a stronger argument. Now, however, your argument is weak IMO

On an aside, have you watched Washington play or are you just basing your statements on last year? I hope not. UW gave Notre Dame a great game last week, they are definitely not the doormat of the Pac as they were last year.
The Pac10 is a joke and so is USC. Did you really just use a loss to Notre Dame as proof that Washington doesn't suck?

Exactly. A 1 loss Florida or LSU team will probably be ranked under USC, who lost to an unranked. It's all about the money.

USC a joke? ok. Whatever you're smoking I call next
There are good teams outside of the SEC, believe it or not.

By the way, I bet that guy complaining about Auburn not being ranked higher than USC feels really foolish right now

No foolish feelings here. Auburn was beat by Arkansas; who beat A&M in Texas last week. A&M played a close game with OK St today. Arkansas will be ranked after this week. No shame in losing to another ranked SEC team.

Are Reggie Bush's parents still living in the house usc bought for them>?

No about money there, SEC is the best nuff said, there are teams that are good outside of the sec, but lets be honest the sec as a whole is dominant vs. any opponent. Combine all the top players from the sec and then combine all the top players from all the other confrences and you know how would win, SEC BABY

Gee, that was clever, but it would have been better if you got your facts straight. Bush's dumb@$$ step-dad allegedly took a bribe from an agent to buy a crappy house. Nothing has been determined as to whether USC had any knowledge of the incident or not.

Sure, there are some good teams in the SEC, but I'm going to reserve judgment until I see them play a great out of conference team. If USC makes it to the championship, plays UF, then I'll know, that's all I'm saying

Hitler Defends Pete

I'll have to agree with Hitler on this one. How can we tell if the SEC is any good if they don't play anyone of significance outside of the conference

So you can determine the strength of a conference by ONE game? How about comparing games against common opponents?

Face it, the only good team in the Pac10 is USC, and they play a weak schedule with a setup game for their bowl.

The SEC has 3 legit Championship contenders. The Pac10 has one, and has to hope that all the others lose so they might get a chance.

Well, I think that goes a little far,
All I'm saying is that I watch USC every week, so I know their strengths and weaknesses. But when I watch an SEC game, I can't tell if UF (for example) is really that good or if the other team just doesn't have it. So, for me, I'd be able to make a better judgment for myself as to how a top team of the SEC does against USC. That wasn't really a comment to say that the PAC is better, that's a losing argument.

It's pretty simple actually. LSU beats Washington. USC loses to Washington. LSU is only the 3rd best team in the SEC. Case closed.

Also, I'm sure all you USC fans are hoping they manage to get to the title game this year. After all, it is a home game for you.

Heck yeah, hopefully I'll be back in LA for either the title game or the Rose Bowl

A look at the latest polls proves that there is a big push for USC to play in the Championship game this year. LSU drops to #10 after a loss to the #1 team in the country, and USC is #5 after losing to crappy Washington, that LSU beat.

I guess there's just more money to be made if USC is highly ranked.

Until there is a playoff system in college football, we will never truly know who the best team is. It is beyond me how USC could be ranked that high and above LSU. Common sense tells you two 1 loss teams; LSU and USC, with LSU beating Washington; that LSU could not be ranked lower. What would happen to USC if they lost to a team ranked #1? Would they drop 6 spots below other 1 loss teams?

True True BIAS. It is so blatant! A playoff system would not fix the rankings up to the bracket, but it would sure sort itself out in the end.
