Red Light Camera Question???
In NC they they don't, not in Raleigh at least. There are several of them near me and I can attest that they do NOT flash every time the light cycles.
Many red light cameras are installed, maintained and operated by private companies. They take a large cut of the ticket, and give a portion to the city. I personally have issues with private companies profiting from law enforcement.

same here. if the cops cant do it on their own, so let it be. more govn't control = BAD.
On a business trip I received a ticket via a camera. I was heading back from Chandler to Tempe and there was a flashing school zone sign at 7:30 at night!!!!! This flashing light goes off that I thought was lightening. Turns out the f'n traffic camera took a picture of me. I was sent a ticket in the mail. I never paid it. I live in Houston. My question is how in the hell you can get a ticket for being in a school zone at 7:30 at night!!!!! WTF??????
Thats when you floor it forward while laying on your horn...scare the **** out of 'em
Sure, when I line up in front,I've done that. I just don't get the chance often enough. But, I will yell "RED LIGHT!" if their windows are open.
the look on their faces are PRICELESS
We have those cameras here, and they are complete and total BS. I think a company called Redflex out of Phoenix installed them, and the fine for a ticket is 100 dollars, 50 for the city and 50 for Redflex. Some of the companies are even overseas who profit from these things. Some guy shot one with a 30-.06 not long ago here, I applaud him greatly, it had it coming. Now, no matter what, I lock it up at any intersection. If you hit me, you hit me, I paid 1 ticket already and I don't intend to get another penny of mine robbed for some poor d**k in Phoenix. The rear-end accidents in the city here have tripled since installations, but they make about 11k per day off the tickets, so they don't care. Almost got a cop to rear-end me, later he pulled up beside me and told me that he understood why I nailed my brakes. It's bad.

I really irks me the amount of people that are in the intersection when the light for me is green, absolutely no consideration for their fellow man.
