I think this is a great discusion, and as I said b4 we can agree to disagree. I started a new Thread, https://www.f150online.com/forums/ge...ml#post3866348 cause we started to get off topic here. I'll see you on that tread instead, OK? OK.

You are correct also in stating "people die in wars to protect those opinions of people, whether they agree with you or not. That's what this country is about, freedom to feel however the hell we want about whatever".... Sure, everyone can "feel" how they want, but when 88% of the millions of people who answered the pole "feel" that it should not be removed, why should it be removed just to appease the other 12%... Isn't my "feeling" of allowing them the option to leave one of the freedoms you just mentioned?
The people who voted in the poll do not represent the entire country. This is not a democracy, it is a republic. 88% wanting it there should not mean anything, if it isn't completely fair and non-biased towards anyone at all in the country. Popular opinion cannot always win, a fair and non-biased decision that represents everyone, even if it's 1 person in the country should always win. Stress the word "should", because we know how that goes. If popular opinion always won, President Gore would have taken care of this issue for us.
Not attacking you, was just saying. Yes, you are entitled to that opinion, if those people think you should leave, then you are both just as right, and just as wrong.
