The camera was across the street on the corner. You can see the car jump the curb and then come back out in the street. I wish I would have been there (way past my bedtime) I would have Cheered them on!

Actually, I'm surprised red light cameras haven't been targeted for people to steal them. They are worth money.

In fact, there has been a problem recently with theves targeting those radar speed signs. People want the radar guns out of them for other uses...

I find it funny.

our local redlight cameras look like a big bird house mounted on top of a pole, only 5' off the ground

If that camera was on a mid level pole all he had to do was run it over... But what I noticed in the video, is it appears that the other camera is moving like someone was holding the camera.. Take a look at it again and you can see it move.. I know they can move if it's windy but they are mounted pretty tight on those poles.. Something doesn't seem right to me..

All the red light cameras around me are on poles.

The car looks kinda looks like a corvette. Maybe one too many red light tickets or speeding tickets pushed them over the edge?

Why are you complaining about red light cameras, people? If you don't run red lights, they will NEVER affect you. If you DO run red lights, you think you just might DESERVE a ticket? I have a LOT less tolerance for people that run red lights than speeders - it's more dangerous. Cities that use them generally only install them at "high incident" intersections.

We have 60 sites here in Edmonton. They were fine, only affecting red light runners, until recently. The city has now upgraded the operating system to now catch speeders at all phases of the light. Red, Yellow, Green, it doesn't matter, the camera is on at all times.

That's not too smart speeding through city intersections either - regardless of the light phase. If you want to drive fast, go out of town.
