Tell me about it. A friend of mine has one. While he was sighting it in I was standing next to him looking through the spotting scope, and it rocked me every time he pulled the trigger.

 

i hate to ask this but, what do something like that run? $$

 

I've got 1k in it including the mark iv scope going on it. I also got a VERY nice dragbag and two boxes of shells with it. The builder showed me $1700 worth of receipts he had in it. Right time right place.

Don't get into long range shooting, you will go broke fast. My first rifle was $3,200 fully built

 

That 300 RUM is fun to shoot...I built one as a hunting rifle 5 years ago, topped it with Leupold glass, and my handloads go under 1/2"...

If you think the 300 will rock you, though, shoot the 338 RUM! I've shot everything up through a 46 Rem Mag, and the big 50, but there's something about that 338 that rocks me everytime!

 

I took her out to the range yesterday. Sighted in at about .75 inches above bullseye at 150 yards. Kicks like a mule and deafening. My shoulder is still sore. I LOVE IT!!!

I just got a new toy as well. A 2" snub nose .357 revolver loaded with hollow points for those pesky home intruders. A friend of mine is putting together an AR15. Fun stuff!
