xbox again.

i know theres a few of you xbox lovers here. i'm looking to stream a 1080p video "mkv" format from pc to xbox. using either MCE or WMP11 on the xbox, having a difficult time finding a format that will play after conversion. help? i've searched but find so many hits on zune streaming 1080p to come, nothing about codecs or formats

using xilisoft software to convert, whenever i do xvid/divx 1080 it says its missing the codec

I'm not quite clear on what you are exactly trying to do? Put a Hi-Def movie on the HDD?

nay sir. you can stream vids from pc to xbox/tv using either xbox interface wmp11 or open media center. but both wont play the video whenever i convert to a format that allows 1080 instead of 720. just trying to find a format that will fill my screen. even if it was on the hdd i dont know what format it will play 1080

10-4 one of my buddies uses that to stream from PC to xbox, works just fine. I am not sure of his entire process. If you can not get it working, I will talk to him for you.
